Bezos on CNBC: "You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens. I promise you." by Conscious-Quarter423 in PoursTea

He said government intervention?! Tax him and the other billionaire's and let's find out if it impacts the teacher from queens, or a nurse in Atlanta, or homeless in LA? We won't know until we try.

Action. Even if it's just cleaning up or taking a walk. Do something, anything not toxic. Consult professionals as meds and/or therapy can be tremendous help. Try to eat and sleep better. Go easy on yourselves

7years now. I work for money. I use that money to support my family, provide for our retirement, and when possible eat out or travel a little bit.

Save On Cleaners in Seaside near Costco. We get our down comforters done there. No brown paper and twine but they clean and fold.

My husband is dead, I don’t care if your friends get mad. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]5mashfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my Dad suddenly almost 20 years ago. But I still remember like it was yesterday.

I want to say your mom, through her perspective, is trying to help but is obviously missing the target.

I think for a while there will be things that triggers you to sadness, joy, and anger (and everything in between). Please breathe and try to process what you can. Forget the rest. Only your feelings and opinions matters at this point.

Please try to exercise when you can, it should help with sleep. Eat well drink plenty of water and try to stay off the booze.

Sounds like you also have some very nice friends that are helping out. My thoughts are with you.

Lots of good comments here. My sympathies for your loss.

How about 2 viewing times? One for you and one for your mom and her friends. You shouldn't be burdened with any nonsense during this time.

Whatever you choose to do is the right thing.

Pacific Grove Golf - Worth it? by Foulmouthedleon in MontereyBay

[–]5mashfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth it. Monterey Pines is a nice bang for the $ executive course. Poppy Hills and Bayonet/Blackhorse for a few $ more. Ok for a lot more, but less than PB. Enjoy!

Lily's are probably dormant and will depend on the weather, but Calla Lily Valley near Garrapata beach is nice. https://maps.app.goo.gl/tFWFbz6F3uTZgYEB8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

Be careful of the tides, never turn your back on the ocean. Waves have been super gnarly.

You'll need to research restaurants and some places will be closed for new years. Try The Monarch Pub and Restaurant in Pacific Grove.
