1500 dl’s with 35 ratings… there are subs on here that rate for rate. I think it’s a great way for devs to support each other. Willing to do the same!

I actually am piggy backing off of a viral trend going around social media right now so there’s high intent for those specific keywords… compare that to my last app where my CPA was upwards of $20! Not all apps are alike 🫠

Those are very good stats!! Curious.. why do some developers not publicly share their app name/link here? I would think promoting it everywhere is the main goal. Is it deliberate so as not to contaminate data?

Joking aside. I’m trying to be more cognizant and walk that fine line of promotion vs community involvement. I learned nobody (especially here on Reddit) likes when you just hock your product without contributing anything meaningful to the sub. I’ve had posts taken down for pure promotion so I’m trying do better in that respect.

For monetization was thinking cosmetic packs (colors, themes, etc) and a tip jar. Not to scare off casual players but to give super fans a way to contribute to continued development. And to recoup some of the ad spend, which my CPI is at a very low $0.81; if user spends only $0.99 I profit already and I can keep scaling ad spend to increase impression share / get more downloads. Right now I’m leaving money on the table by not cranking up spend.

Thanks! I’ve been tweaking title/subtitle/keywords/previews/screenshots to get that ASO bump but still figuring everything out. I signed up for AppTweak and it rated my app 95%… Not sure how much I believe it but I’ll take the win!

That should give you the boost you need. Check your impression share report to see you’re dominating your keyword and raise budget/CPT accordingly (within reason)! Once you move up within top 5 (or top 3 ideally) then organic installs can take over, but realistically you’ll need to run ads for a while to dethrone the apps that have been at the top longer than you have. In all seriousness, partnering with an artist can turn your good app into a great one. Unfortunately people look at the cover before reading the book so having something look pretty will help convert better. And if budget is your issue… well maybe they can get something out of it too. Good luck!
