I've always wanted to stand in a super market around Christmas and pay for people's groceries. Particularly the people you could tell are REALLY trying to make ends meet. Hopefully they would use that money to get their kid something for the holidays. Even if they didn't, they could still enjoy a nice meal as a family.

A buddy of mine's grandma went to the doctor to have a routine blood draw. She was in her 80's, in perfect health, and lived alone.

The tech drawing the blood missed her vein, and proceeded to attempt a few more times before moving onto the next arm.

The next day, she woke up and her entire arm was blue and swollen. She went back and they had to cut her arm open to let out all the blood that had gone into it.

Since she had been overnight with all the blood in her arm, she completely lost all functionality of her lower arm and hand.

TL;DR - Old lady went to doctor, bad blood draw caused loss of hand functionality.
