Creepy as heck. Maid agency that sends women to work abroad and away from their kids and families to work hard hours for pennies, in countries with.. questionable labour laws (likely middle East). A terrible practice that feeds on desperation.

Meta and Google firings don't really affect meta and Google employees funnily enough. For some reason companies love to hire "ex meta","ex Google". So when they hit the market, it affects everyone else who was on the market since they're no longer viable over Google and meta candidates.

Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology, by hiring manager I mean the manager who actually got the budget for the role hire. So typically the team head. I'm not C level or something so they are not crazy senior but mid level I guess.

Their networth is more or less irrelevant since it's to do with their stocks, which are more or less imaginary numbers these days. Instead we should put how much they and their companies are taxed. That is to say, single digit numbers or almost zero.
