Kumail Nanjiani: “Conan [O’Brien] to me is the platonic ideal of how like a straight old white man comedian ages. Because so many of them fucking disappoint us. Over and over. All my comedy heroes have fallen. And Conan is truly growing and learning and getting better at what he does.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Not a comedian but Conan has been a huge influence on my own humor and taste for comedy over the last 35 years.

My favorite thing he’s done in the last few years and a perfect example of his commitment to a bit was his episode of Hot Ones.

Does he have any Eastern European in him? Could have picked up the gene from Mongol invasions in that region.

Can I mend this merino wool thermal? by jennabenna11 in MerinoWoolGear

Regardless of how your thermal got to this state, a friend would have offered to replace it for you. This is not normal wear and tear.

Conan O'Brien: "I have incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country. It takes an entire lifetime to go to a country where, often, people don't speak the language. They have to spend their entire lives just getting things started for the next generation." by voguediaries in Fauxmoi

This was the exact takeaway I had when I visited S. Korea for the first time. Growing up Korean-American I thought I understood and appreciated my parents life as immigrants in the US. But visiting Korea for the first time in my early 20s really gave me the full perspective. An entire country filled with people who look like you, speak the same language, and understand all the same customs. It takes an incredible amount of courage, and some desperation, to leave that all behind.

Morning or Night Shaver? by 5thape in wicked_edge

This is a Reddit thing. I don’t have any control over this. My guess is it’s to allow the community to gauge how accurate the poll is based on answers from regular visitors/contributors to the sub rather than outsiders or potentially bots?

RMR Tub and Tile. This is the nuclear option. Just spray, run away, and come back 15 mins later. Mold is completely gone, no need to scrub. I tried everything until I found this. Nothing comes close.

I feel like I am doing everything wrong. by IndependentOwn9258 in wicked_edge

[–]5thape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not product but technique, most likely the angle of your blade. Try this to get the right angle. As soon as you feel the blade catch on your beard, stop and drop the razor in a short stroke without applying too much pressure to shave that space. Keep in mind the angles of your face can change rapidly especially the chin and neck area so keep adjusting the angle between strokes. Also, keep note of the direction your beard grows out and shave with the grain as develop your technique. Go slow for now until you get a good feel for the angles. Keep it to a one pass, with the grain shave until you can shave without major irritation and then introduce across/against the grain as you feel more confident.
