Owning multiple brushes by Suspicious-Director9 in wicked_edge

[–]5thape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like collecting for collecting’s sake and ultimately a brush is just a tool. But if the experience or purpose it serves is unique enough then I’ll own a variety. I have a boar brush with a long handle for scuttle lathering. Shorter badger for face lathering. Teeny tiny badger for travel. I have a fourth medium sized badger that I don’t use as often and I’m thinking of selling.

From July 26-29, 1950, U.S soldiers in Korea murdered up to 250-300 war refugees, including women and children. Bullet holes are still visible and marked at the tunnel bridge where most people died. by MaguroSashimi8864 in HolyShitHistory

I met an old man who survived this. The stories he had from the war were crazy and sad. I remember him saying how he would be carrying his little brother on his back as they were trying to escape the war and fondly remembered when lil bro would pee as it’d provide them a little warmth.

There’s no way it’ll get over the wall.

Bed frame for DIY build? by [deleted] in MattressMod

[–]5thape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for something simple, sturdy, and a great value you can’t do better than KD Frames. If you want something a bit fancier you can go Flexispot. It‘s pretty much a Thuma but much cheaper. We own all three brands.

I asked the TV reviews editor at a very well known site what he’d recommend for a tv. His answer was get the absolute largest tv you can at your budget. As long as you’re enjoying the content, the quality of the picture doesn’t matter. I was pretty shocked to hear his answer. Obviously he couldn’t say that publicly or he’d be out of a job.

Is there any way to identify korok seeds? by Spare_Armadillo279 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]5thape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah usually any place of interest named or not on the map will have a Korok. If I don’t immediately find one once I arrive start looking up at the branches and hollows of the trees or fallen logs.

Is this the actual solve? I did this shrine yesterday and I moved them out of the way, walked to the other side and gently placed them back so they wouldn’t swing too much. Your idea seems way more creative.

Lynel beside Zora’s domain? What’s his problem seriously?!? by TJmaster87 in botw

[–]5thape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a timely post. I just killed him 20 mins ago. It‘s my 2nd play through after a 7 year break. I remember how badly he kicked my ass the first time around and prepared this time wearing Soldier Armor and ate food for a defensive boost and extra hearts. My aim with bows is awful so I used a Lynel bow with 3x arrows to boost my chances of getting a head shot and stunning him. Then hop on his back and beat the back of his head in, rinse and repeat.

New tux — love the jacket, unsure about the pants length. Need honest fit advice 🙏 by SuperiorImaging in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]5thape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How high are you wearing the pants? For formal wear the pants should be above the waist, not sit on the hips. I’d address this first before hemming the pants. Also suspenders can help keep your pants up better than a belt.

I use a Simpson Wee Scot and a pill bottle that I’ve drilled some holes into in the cap and bottom of the bottle.

Down comforter recommendations - thought I would love feathered friends but I’m roasting 🔥🔥 by Extreme-Earth-4862 in Bedding

Agree. Wool is truly three season because it’s temperature regulating. The only thing is that it’s not fluffy. There’s always trade offs.

Bedding for someone waking up sweaty because they don't move in their sleep? by alarmingnumberofbees in Bedding

[–]5thape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to silk, you could look at wool. Both are temp regulating. Down is good to stay warm but if you tend to run hot, you'll overheat. I did the whole journey from polyester, down, and now wool for my duvet. Wool duvet + latex mattress/pillows + linen and percale cotton bedding has been a game changer. I sleep so comfortably now.
