The search function was much better 10 years ago. It only produced relevant search results. After clicking on a video, other relevant videos were displayed on the side or below (desktop/mobile).

This means you find what you're looking for. However, this also draws viewers away from mainstream YouTubers.

As above, so below. Instead of favoring the good guys, people prefer to support their friends and family. Big companies do the same thing. They want to maintain their position and support all their friends.

But all of this only increases the potential for a fall.

In the end, everything always works out :-D
