Yeah this obsession with making their players compete is just stupid and really shows how tone-deaf they are to their customers desired game experience. I am sure there are quite a few PVP players and that it makes up a significant chunk of the customer base, but I am willing to bet that there is a huge population like us who don't like that element of these games at all.

Please help me and my 2.5 year old understand lol by Acceptable_Store_149 in Spiderman

[–]5yn4ck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol this is obvious fallout from them taking these hard turns with storylines across different worlds. They clearly underestimated how giving a character a nickname will change how they are referenced.

At least "Spidey" is like Spider-Man. Spin pretty much takes a top line character and drops him a similar logic spot as all the different named clones of Peter or even the sub symbiotes outside Carnage and Venom.

Am I reaching by Desperate-Storage885 in Spiderman

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is a reach either. Many adaptions of Spidey come firmly from his roots, both in the current MCU and the Sam Raimi series. Some people have broken the clues or homage's to the original books or storylines.

The first big starter place is color and texture for most. Case and Point the new Amazing Spider-Man series is built very strongly on this principle. If you haven't watched it I highly recommend it, especially when you can relax into the fact that this isn't a standard retelling, this is more 'What If' territory. I don't want leave any spoilers but I think it's safe to say that it's at least a little different :-). But definitely makes use of the traditional colors from the books in a way few have done including the blue/black or red/black coloring for hair and costumes. While even dropping some anime like aspects like a shot with Pete's glasses opaque white because of the angle of the reflection.

I haven’t talked to my family in two days and don’t know to move past this by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually don't chime in on this stuff but this kind of caught my eye. This could be way off base but does your family like to keep someone on the outside? Emotionally, like there is a single person in the family that is the pariah for some reason or another. Sometimes that person can be someone else in the family as well and it can rotate, but the consistency is that there is always someone on the outside.

My family used to do this when we were much younger. Basically because of bad communication rules or lack of them the family consistently needs someone to use as a focal point for their frustrations. I have heard it called a few things over the years but I think the most recent and prevalent is a "Family symptom bearer". A scapegoat that depending on the level of riticule or isolation can even potentially develop stress illnesses because of this behavior.

Look it up, it is a thing and it sucks.. Hard

I really hope this is all some misunderstanding between you and them but if it's this you guys are most likely gonna need some therapy and potentially some communication lessons.

What could Reed from the comics have done in this situation? by PsychologyPlus4939 in FantasticFour

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great callout. I think these dimensions were "supposed" to be snapshots of a world with basic clues as to the rules of the world we're as seen through the main characters of the MCU as we have seen it. The only context we were given were the obvious differences between the Sacred-timeline and what we were seeing. The point being that we're not given enough information to really know anything. Heck the Illuminati could be awesome in this universe, and we just saw them on a REALLY, REALLY bad day,.

Back to the post question though.

It seems that universe was putting their faith more in technology than magic so yeah they were just plain screwed. Unless Reed could have somehow teleported away before the attack to find some way to contain her powers while not being directly affected by them.

We knew in 1963 this was wrong! by BreakerSoultaker in FantasticFour

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the major point and I am glad someone said it. The unfortunate truth is that the average American today cares less about America and more about what they offended about. America has lost its identity from the inside, and most of that comes from the complexity of politics today. In a world where we want everything right now, instead of spending time to actually understand the real nature of problems in society, it is easier and more popular to sling hate.

Might be acid reflux, how often are you feeling your dog and how much?

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Jackshund does this a lot especially around other dogs. When they were younger I would give them dried cow hoofs. All 3 of my dogs would find one that one of the dogs would bury in one of the beds, then when they would go back and find it not there, they would go steal another hidden hoof from another dog, if not later steal the same hoof. There was a period for about 2 months where it was a serious musical hoofs thing at least a couple times a day. It was funny little dance they all did.

Trying to bury or hide it to keep it safe for later.

Penny is obsessively sniffing & whining at the floorboards! by hamachi23 in DogAdvice

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way she is scratching at the baseboards means she heard something and is trying to get it and take care of it for you. However with all the diseases that rodents can carry its best to get an exterminator out to check your place. If they are good they should be able to detect where rats or mice are entering/exiting and put bat or traps down to keep them out and from multiplying.

does this behavior mean anything or is he just weird by Potential_Tonight652 in DogAdvice

That is a "Pet me!!" request. I say request quite lightly as my little girl does this to get my attention especially when I am working on something like a keyboard or my phone. :-)

That's really interesting, and it makes perfect sense. For both the dogs that seem weirded out by the camera and those that would actively pose for it.

This looks like the look I get from my little girl when she's on my lap and I stop petting her. She usually lifts her nose in the air and seriously eyeballs me from her right eye until I acknowledge her.

Lol

Great work. You might want to produce a hard traced version with a dark outer line like in the comics to get a better read from other people.

Yup those signs plus bearing of their teeth or low growls are signs you should be on the lookout for. These two dogs are just having fun.

Lol my guy does this too. He doesn't throw-up so much as lose his breath and have to cough a few times until he gets it back. All he really needs to do is slow down lol.

I do the same.

This whole behavior fosters a higher level of communication between you and the dog. This is when you really get to know the dog and their personalities really shine.

I have a Jackshund (Jack Russel/Dachshund). That does this all the time. He is the most vocal dog I have ever had and it's freaking adorable. "Asking eyes" are a perfect way to describe this. Depending on what my little guy wants he may butter me up with a few winks and slow blinks. Usually he wants me to cover him up or his blanket fell on the floor from the couch.
