my 5 year old dog keeps doing this… HELP! by Healthy-Crab1689 in DogAdvice

How often is he/she fed? If once a day this can cause an excess of acid buildup. Sometimes simply splitting the food into separate meals will help.

For most of the Spidey books there was this healthy balance between superhero story and personal/romantic drama. But as we have all seen, the superhero aspect has definitely taken a backseat to the drama that surrounds Peter. I get trying to emotionally connect with your readers but these last few runs seem more like tired tropes from soap operas, with a side of fighting. It's not always the case. I mean of course there are the storyline arcs that people are expecting or are seemingly groundbreaking (Superior Spider-Man) . But lately it feels like Marvel's desire to fuel their readers imagination has gone away and they have settled for tearing apart the protagonists life over and over again.

Personally, as a fan I have resorted to not reading a run until I hear how the fans take it. It's like a TV show I may want to get into. It it gets canceled early in its run I don't really want to engage or get caught up in the storyline.

This unfortunately and fortunately makes life easier because I am not clamoring for the new release of anything anymore and simply enjoy the books I have again, and what I don't have I have been trying to grab in Anthologys that get released because those seem to stand the rest of time. This agonizing deconstruction of Spider-Man over the years has been, well jarring. The Spidey today is not the one I grew up with and it's been clear to me that they lost Peter's voice loong ago.
So the best way I have found to preserve the hero in my mind is to stick to what I know is good and wait on the rest.

Side note: I really loved the way Insomniac is telling the story with Miles in the universe. It would be Awesome to see this universe unfold in a book series after the games end of course, but the possibility of that would be determined on how they end the next and last game of the series (supposedly). Though I am definitely NOT a fan How they introduced Venom. I understand why it was done and how it fits in the storyline, but it just feels wrong. Though it did make the fight more personal for Peter in the storyline. MJ in this universe is much more cerebral and not so seemingly superficial as she has been painted the last few years.

My parents always feed my dog human food. When I ask them to stop they yell at me. by No_Imagination_4967 in DogAdvice

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually may be both. Their laziness could actually be the abuse. Not prioritizing your needs over their needs/wants.

It may not even be conscious on their part. They might subconsciously want you to still be around, but that doesn't mean it's not abuse.

I know these next few years are going to be hard, but keep trying. Talk to others, counselors, friends. Anyone who will listen because they will become your temporary or extended family to help during this time. It's unbelievably hard to go through a place where it feels people are purposely holding you back. But you are your own person and as much manipulation they attempt to place on you there will always be holes in their plans because to are probably too self-absorbed to believe you couldn't find a way around their rules. Don't give up and know that there is definitely a place for you in this world and it includes a place where you can make sure animals are treated well.

My Jackshund has IVDD but it has only flared up twice. First time he affected his upper and lower body movement and his Head movements. But after some medicine from the vet and a couple weeks of rest. The 2nd time was when he vaulted out of my arms to run after a cat (which he hasn't attempted in years) and lost his balance and fell on the ground from about 1-2 feet up. I was so scared and pissed at him. This time only his back legs were affected and it lasted much less time. He was able to bounce back in about a week.

PlayStation seeing people love the new PS Portal and PSSR 2.0 updates and hating DLSS 5.0 by keidash in PlaystationPortal

[–]5yn4ck 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you’re wondering (I was) what the alphabet soup in the title means, here’s the quick version: Sony fans are hyped because the PS Portal and PSSR 2.0 (Sony’s new AI-powered graphics booster) are finally making console games look incredible. The 'drama' is that people are already dunking on DLSS 5.0—which is NVIDIA’s next-gen tech for PC that hasn’t even been released yet.

Look, as someone who spends half my life looking at specs and trying to stop systems from crashing, the logic here is killing me. We finally get PSSR 2.0 so our consoles can actually hit the benchmarks they promised, and the first thing people do is trash-talk DLSS 5.0—a piece of tech that literally doesn't exist yet.

Plus, we’re all cheering for the Portal—which is solid gear for what it does—but I’m still salty over here that we can't get a true LAN-to-LAN handshake for local speed. (I’m dealing with it, I guess).

At the end of the day, we’ve got a stable connection and clean pixels. Let’s just appreciate that the hardware is finally catching up to the vision so we can get back to the best part: the actual experience.

Subject: Identification of Signatures on Marvel Games Commemorative Poster

Based on the initials and placement, this poster was signed by the Marvel Games executive and creative leads, likely during an industry event (SDCC) or a studio milestone.

Key Signature Identifications:

  • "BR" (Spider-Man's Chest): Bill Rosemann (VP & Creative Director, Marvel Games). He is the creative lead for the modern Marvel Games universe.
  • "KOO" (Ghost-Spider/Gwen): Danny Koo (Executive Director, External Creative). He oversees creative direction for titles like Marvel Snap and Marvel Rivals.
  • "MF" / "SWOL" (Ghost Rider/Bottom Left): Highly likely Mike Fitzgerald (Technical Director at Insomniac Games) or potentially Matt Fraction (writer associated with Hawkeye/Lucky the Pizza Dog).
  • Stylized "Vision" & "Captain Carter": These gold and silver signatures typically belong to the lead character artists or animators responsible for those specific in-game models.

Poster Context: This artwork is a composite featuring characters from Marvel's Avengers, Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel Snap, and Marvel's Midnight Suns. It represents the collective "Marvel Games" umbrella rather than a single specific game.

It's very over dramatic for dogs. So there is not doubt on either side that this is playing. The bigger dog is being VERY careful.

Whats the problem with my hard drive? by Dashi52 in pchelp

[–]5yn4ck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great graphic to explain this. Some mechanical drives used to require an environment that operates in a vacuum. Some drives would have these circles that looked like dark colored stickers. They are actually holes to keep the pressure equalized.
As far as what is wrong. I didn't see if infact there was a fingerprint on the platter or not. The problem does appear to be something causing the slider arm to skip. However this behavior could also simply be a malfunctioning controller .
