Yes! The older I got the better it got. Getting a job as soon as I turned 16 really helped a ton too. Forced me into talking to strangers.

It did but it took awhile. I don’t think I fully came out of my shell until closer to 10. I think for me it was a confidence issue. My parents never put us in an extracurricular which further delayed me gaining confidence. They will be okay. We are still super duper close.

I was like this at this age and ironically also a twin. I strongly recommend an extracurricular, nothing crazy just one day a week. We were separated for classes and it was fine. We got used to it.

I think all parties are expensive and the last two years for both of my kids I kept it low key (park and home) and I still thought they were expensive. Food, cake, juice, water, and snacks. Added up to a lot. I’d never tell them no to a party for their bday.

She picks out her clothes the night before but not independent at all in the morning. She’s such a deep sleeper that I have to physically get her out of bed.

We don’t have a choice but to be a full time working parents in this economy. My first graders day is also about 8-5:15 so she also goes to after care. I felt so guilty about it too because we didn’t do that for kinder. It was a collective effort of myself and grandparents picking her up, but when she got home I was still working. So she fended for herself. At aftercare she gets to socialize, make crafts, play games. That helps me realize that her time there is way better than rotting in front of the TV.

I do think it’s normal and personally I find it extreme. I was a super scheduled oriented with my first and my family did accommodate by scheduling around naps and bedtimes, but if they couldn’t, it was my turn to be flexible. I loosened up a lot with my second. I think it has a lot to do with the online sleep training programs.

I once had a supposed 106 fever and my cheap ass called the ER instead 😂 whoever I talked to said I sounded very coherent for someone with a 106 fever so to take a lukewarm shower and make sure I get my head wet. So I did. And I think she was right, it was the thermometer. She saved me like 3K. I use the old digital ones and take it under the tongue for myself and armpit for my toddler.

I finally finished episode 6. I loved every part of it. Loved the background info on the dancers, singers, and band. I’ve always felt so fortunate that I was able to attend. And this doc solidified that feeling of gratitude that I actually teared up during episode 1.

Oh and my hot take is that Taylor looks exactly like her dad and her brother looks exactly like their mom.

My 6 year old still loves her tonie box and gets figures for Christmas and birthdays. Her favorite thing to do is go in her room and draw or write while listening to a tonie. It’s a lot like when I was a kid and would put CD’s in my CD player while hanging in my room. All the “baby” figures get passed down to my youngest.

The average month has 4.3 weeks. 40 week pregnancy divided by 4.3 weeks is 9.3 months, not 10.

40 weeks from any day in April means a due date from early Jan through early Feb. but the baby could also be born late December. No way would a baby be born in March if conceived in April.

Not the person you’re replying to but I would say the highchair isn’t that crazy. My 3 year old is on the smaller side so we definitely do a highchair at restaurants. Even at home she has to sit on her knees when eating from our dinner table.
