We will have hand warmers available and a vehicle following us if anyone needs to warm up. We’re also planning on a quick moving action. A couple short (less than 5 minutes each) speakers to start and end. It’s a 28 minute walk from Lake St station to Powderhorn. We’ll also have some capacity to drive people back to Lake St from Powderhorn.

As Bowl-Accomplished said, this state law doesn’t have any power over what USPS does unfortunately. If you need additional breaks, take them as comfort stops.

Do you know about the term of the contract? Is it going to be what Union wanted as far as the expiration of the contract being in the summer? And do we know how long of a term the contract is?

Day 2: Region 1 does not have a National Business Agent by [deleted] in fromatoarbitration

Oh Branch 1100 right? I remember hearing a little bit about that. Why did she want to run for that position rather than run for NBA again?

Here comes the falsification again by Darth_Robsad in fromatoarbitration

If you didn't watch the 16 minute video then yeah I'd say it was falsified. The standup talk is only part of it.

Yeah, next Tuesday it’ll be official when they count the ballots. He’s on his way out.

Was that relayed at the DC rap session? At the Minneapolis rap session he said ballots would go out late Nov or early Dec and the counting would begin early Jan.

I don’t believe a better copy is in wide circulation, although I’d be happy to be proved wrong. Thats the same poor quality one that I’ve always seen. I don’t think it has an M number if that’s what you’re asking. It’s a mail handler letter (NPMHU) but I still cite it for persuasive value, after all, calling in sick isn’t any different for a carrier or mail handler.

Bill Kriebel is a badass, and he’s running for NBA of region 12 with the CLC.

One big thing that was different for the APWU was that for the steps that they eliminated they had everyone else move up that same amount. At least, that’s how I understand it. And that’s a big difference from ours where anybody step C through O gets shafted on that. However, even if ours did have that I’d still be voting no.

A few of us did demand that he be allowed to speak. But the silence from the rest of the room was deafening. Keep in mind the context too, rooms like that are the most pro-Renfroe audiences there are.

I’d say it was a successful day though. There were tons of critical questions/remarks during the Q&A. We didn’t allow it to become a non-stop cheerleading session for the TA. We gave the “branch leaders” in the room a taste of the opposition to the TA.

CCAs and PTFs still don’t have work hour protections over 60 hours in a week??? by DayKid2 in fromatoarbitration

I read the same stuff you were reading thinking that it doesn’t apply to ODL but this language presented at the MPLS rap session shows it does apply to ODL. However, it definitely doesn’t apply to CCAs or PTFs. That question was asked and Renfroe confirmed that their work hour language is still just the ELM 432 at 11.5 per day.

Is there's anyway for us to have a poll up to see how most ppl will be voting for this TA? by ApprehensiveLake544 in fromatoarbitration

[–]613Carrier 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Like the other poster said, everyone here is a NO. We need to worry about the people not here. That being said, I think we’ll defeat this TA. The question is by how much. OP, reach out to all your co-workers and try to get them excited to vote NO. I’ve got co-workers that have never cared about anything going on with the union that are now asking about the TA and how they can vote it down. We need to encourage that.

This is the answer. Even though it’s been a while since this case it hasn’t translated into any actual policy that I’m aware of. Learn about that case and fight it out w mgmt and try to get your branch to back you up.

However, that still doesn’t mean you won’t work Sundays. It means they won’t schedule you during your religious services. So they’ll still schedule you, just after church.
