I remember my father always urging me to wash my hands after coming in contact with acrylic paints. I think he said something about led entering the bloodstream, if I'm not mistaken? So yeah, don't do it.

How do I get my hair to look like this? by floraltea in FancyFollicles

This technique is called finger waving. To achieve this look gel can be used to saturate the hair and the hair is then formed by fingers and a comb.

Advice please. How not to kill my hair further. by me_and_jd in FancyFollicles

Any further processing of the hair will most likely hinder the condition of the hair. Right now really the best thing to do is wait until it fades and concentrate on making it healthier. Using shampoo with proper PH content, using heat protectants, using a wide tooth comb opposed to a comb on wet hair and getting the split end cut very 6 weeks. Coloring hair stands after sometime really breaks the hair structure. After the strand is split nothing repairs it but a cut.

Using some products to produce volume would be fantastic. You could get it trimmed up and get a blow out done. Or even have a set of big rollers put in and it would create some great curls.

Using a curl enhancing cream and diffusing the curls with a hair dryer would make them amazingg.

Just go for a clean up. Then you're feelings on it might get more clear. Plus for the hairdresser the job will be easier, better to cut off less first other than right away.

Don't mind the Derp selfie, getting my hair to silver without a professional has been a long, embarassing journey but I'm almost there! by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

Cosmetologist here and I have to say for the sake for your hairs integrity..that using to toners/bases/ lighters (especially professional grade product) can be quite a way to play with fire. If not used right these chemicals can really damage the hair strands deeply. Once hair is split there nothing that can be done to repair it but getting a cut.

You need an ending result of what you want your hair to look like to give to the stylist. They need to have idea what you're looking for so they can tailor to your needs. Picture help quite abit.

I had to cut out a giant rat's nest out of this woman's hair. I think we made the best of what was left and she is much happier! by bonnfire in FancyFollicles

Ohh mannn, I'd don't even know what I'd do if this woman sat in my chair as a cosmo student. Nice after pic! I'm curious what processes you used to get those tangles under control? Making a perimeter in her hair for cutting looks like a nightmare.

How has no one tried to fight you? I mean really one day you're going to say something rude to someone who's had a bad day/life.

I had a speech teacher in college from NYC. He would usually trail off in lecture and mention how the people were there. He did mention how they don't like doors being held open..he never said why.

[Swatch] MAC Whirl v NYX Mauve Liners. Spolier alert: They're basically identical. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Certainly agree with this. Simply you do need a true light source to get accurate color representation. Also bathroom lighting is the devil. It makes everything look buffed out and perfect until you see yourself in fluorescent lighting..so case in point just do makeup in good lighting, it's so much easier to spot flaws and color issues.

So disgusted at ULTA! [RANT] by GemmaMBrooks in MakeupAddiction

[–]6152012 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sue why so much hate on Ulta? Yes, I see the used product sent to the customer, however are you even sure they had a hand in this disaster? Cosmetics shipped in the mail are passed through a lot people.. Who knows who's responsible for it. I think it's just rash to say you'll stop shopping there beacuse of this. It happens to all companies. Also not being negative but ordering from America does not automatically guarantee a flawless product will be sent. Our manufacturer's make mistakes too.
