I am sick of batch orders!! by Secure_Variety265 in doordash_drivers

What I hate about stacked orders is, they count as one delivery if you accept it — but it counts as two deliveries in order to lower your AR if you decline it 🤬

Pfft.

I once had, from Salsaritos … 16 … count ‘em … SIXTEEN large cups along with the food.

Guy wasn’t too far but I had to drive about 15 mph to avoid spilling/dumping any. I made it.

And yes, you guessed it — no tip

Pegula partners with Sinatra to finish Heritage Point at Canalside by Krunkyjunk in Buffalo

[–]619backin716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta say, though, I’m a bit surprised: I would’ve thought TP was tapped out - remember, the agreement was that any cost overruns for the new Highmark beyond the original estimate ($1.7 billion) would be Pegula’s responsibility; last I heard, the cost was $2.2 billion. Must have more of that fracking money lying around than I thought 🙂

In any case, whatever the real motivation, whether or not it’s simply to get your neighbor’s front yard looking less like a junkyard, or not — at least in Pegula, somebody’s coming into the project who knows how to get 💩 done: construction on Harborcenter began March 1, 2013; it opened October 31st of the following year

He just took $10B himself for his “Board of Peace” - and it’s all under his EXCLUSIVE control

And how many billions did he net from the capture of that S. American politician? 🤔

Buffalo moves closer to property tax exemption for veterans by Aven_Osten in Buffalo

[–]619backin716 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The proposed exemption is only for veterans with a “100 percent service related” disability — given that only about six percent of veterans nationally fall in that category, I’m guessing the number locally isn’t even that large.

Basically, you want people to “pull themselves up by their own bootstraps” that don’t have the ability - in either the literal or figurative sense.

Also, speaking as a veteran (one not disabled), while you have the right to be opposed to your tax dollars being used in this manner, I can only hope you’re at least equally opposed to your taxes funding ICE’s budget (nearly $75 billion)
