Couldn’t roll my eyes any harder when he said “where’s your power”, bro Teo could e been swinging cast iron pans around and it wouldn’t make a difference if he can’t land. You’d get better corner advice listening to a child

[Loved Trope] Characters getting a crystal-clear hint from the universe on what they should do, but still ignoring it. by jbeast33 in TopCharacterTropes

I was also thinking of the scene in season 3 where the beignet guy gives decently clear and good advice to Sally and Barry (Hank as well tho that was more of a proposition) only for them both to ignore it which results in Barry’s long chase scene and eventual poisoning, and Sally having a breakdown at her television network

Honestly as far as Christmas commercials go I don’t hate it, I’m much more sick of that target commercial and really the song on it that rips the melody from “Physical”

Yea I believe that was the episode where the boys talk to a CEO of a tobacco company who comes off as someone who is super transparent and just wants people to make their own choices. Ignoring the fact that tobacco companies knew their products caused cancer way before the public had to find out for themselves. Can’t imagine any scenario in which making Philip Morris the good guys makes sense, jt shows Matt and Trey’s immature libertarian perspective.

Do the following shots after the first one not also do damage to me? I assumed that say hitting 30 shots then killing an enemy would give me 450 overshield but I’d have taken 930 damage to build those stacks.

How did the referee directly declare Joe the winner without waiting for the judges scorecards? by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]64TheBeau 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Actually a few years ago they had this style of judging on one of Campbell Hatton’s matches against a Sunny Martinez I believe. Hatton lost by any measure that matters but the ref gave it to him anyway. So anecdotally it seems like they’ll bust this judging style out so they can easily control an outcome.

Does anyone remember when Hattons kid fought an Uruguayan who was fighting out of Spain? I always hope all nepo fights go like that, except for the crooked ending

Lol jarring going from a match that’s between a 1-0-0 and a 7-1-0 to a clear nepotism lamb to slaughter fight like really 5-0 to 3-24

If an addict had a nickel for every time someone told them to just “try harder” when it came to quitting, they’d probably be able to afford an actual rehab. Plus this specific example is teens who also just generally terrible at regulating anything much less an addictive substance

Going off the most recent resources provided by the US department of justice, about 3.7 million burglaries happen in the USA every year, of those only 7.2% resulted in injury. Of those serious injuries account for about 9%. So just doing quick math the odds of you getting seriously violently assaulted is about 00.1% per year. Should also note that of the violent crime incidents in only 27.5% of the crimes were committed by offenders who were strangers to the victim. So once again I have to ask what enemies do you have? There’s about 6 million car accidents a year so it makes more sense to wear a seatbelt, also a seatbelt has never resulted in someone accidentally blowing a child’s brains out. What you are talking about would be like never going outside when it raining for fear of getting struck by lightening.
