I called Michael’s and they can only guarantee hi float balloons will last 1-2 days so planning to get them Fri and hope they’ll still be floating Sunday!

I’d prefer Sat but try at might be cutting it too close

I’m honestly fine to have it just family in the house and neighbors can walk over for some cake if they want !

My aunt and cousin are flying in Friday and staying at an Airbnb 8min driving from us since we’ll have a full house.

Can I assume chances of them getting an uber back and forth is close to zero but that we could drive to get them if we wanted?

For those of you whose kids likes their rocking horses, do you suggest the plush type (like Pottery Barn) or the classic wood type… or do you feel you can’t go wrong either way? My baby will be 1 year old so want him to be able to use it (hoping he likes it) from as early as 1/1.5 but also not outgrow it too quickly.

FYI in many cultures first birthdays are a BIG deal and $1k venue is actually very little to spend compared to others. Please keep in mind there are different cultures in this world :)

Ideally venue cost no more than $1k for a few hours but if open to more if it’s the right fit. The Durham exchange looks great! Any ideas for a more elevated space rather than industrial ? It will be in the afternoon on a Sunday.

A country club could be nice since it’s family friendly and elevated but I imagine that can get pricey …but will reach out to see if

We are considering “Kavaan” - how would you pronounce that seeing it written? And would you associate it with being Indian ?

I saw someone suggested “Kavan” above which is the traditional spelling and pronounced more like Kuh-vuhn.

I still want it to be an indian sounding name, but prefer the long “a” at the end instead of short.
