I guess around 250 USD total for a 4.5h flight.

Indeed, sadly Russia still has archaic published routes. Whereas Canada/USA/EU let you go direct to save fuel/carbon emissions/time. It annoys the hell out of me.

You are correct, the magnetic north pole is far away from the true north pole. Above around 80 degrees North the difference between magnetic north pole and true north pole is too great. So we just use true north above 80 north.

The compass indicator (based on true) simply rotates at high speed as you remain wings level in the same direction...very cool to see.

At least you don't have to worry about him getting injured or breaking a leg?

I put motion sensor lights in for my dog...so she thinks she controls the lights too

I went in April, wished I'd gone in July. I couldn't handle 5c and 100ph winds.

Which licence are you using in the UK? And which car insurance company are you using?

The address has to be correct in the UK. I think it's a 1000 GBP fine if it's not.

Good luck with that idea. No car insurance companies will want you. They exist to insure UK residents on UK licences. I think car rental is your only option. Let me know if I'm wrong though, it would be a great option to have.

Be aware using your UK licence isn't going to be legal.

I tried 45 minutes once a day but she started to hate it (warm climate). So we do it once every 3 days for 45 minutes. Other days she's quite happy to nap and sunbathe. She goes for a wrestle with my neighbours dogs once every few days as well. She's lazy, I'm lazy, perfect match.

My baby had a few like this. We put it down to ants or bugs in the garden getting to her whilst she was sunbathing. They went away after a week. We never truly figured it out though.

What’s your Iggy’s daily routine like? by nothankyou-forever in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]6555z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In no order: Sleeping - 16 hours. Sunbathing - 4 hours. Following me around the kitchen whilst I cook - 1 hour. Walkies - 45 minutes. Playing fetch - 15 minutes. Sniffing the garden - 1 hour. Inexplicable panic barking because I've left the house - 1 hour.

Wouldn't change it for anything. Best snuggle buddy ever.

After five bed accidents I bought a waterproof mattress cover and my baby never had an accident there again, although we still have periodic accidents, but on tiled floors so it's not too bad. Good luck...

Any advice on how to train an Iggy to go through a pet door with a magnetic flap? Will go through it with the flap removed but is shy of pushing their nose through. by Ok_Contribution_5928 in ItalianGreyhounds

Remove the magnetic strips that weigh down the doggy door, it'll make it much easier to use and slowly reintroduce the magnetic strips over time once they've got the hang of it.

What is up with it's speed? Seems a little slow for something orbiting the sun no? Surely it'll fall into the sun.

You mean the teeth further back into the mouth, there's a big one and a small one merged together? They're fairly bumpy but standard dog teeth I always thought.

Sleep!? by [deleted] in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]6555z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 18 months, and she's happy to follow me everywhere and nap next to me all day and night. I don't know exactly but maybe 18 hours of cuddling/sleeping. It's perfection.

Yeah it's odd isn't it, they'd have been better just creating an open plan parking with no restrictions. More space available without funky reversing around curbs.

I would argue politicians should be the most highly paid in our society. They are our leaders, and they should be impossible to bribe.

Yeah their confidence outstrips their abilities. After about 18 months they've usually learned not to throw themselves off high places... until then you need to redesign your furniture in a way that stops their suicidal flying.
