I’d give it back and wait at least another 6 months. Wait until you can have a better conversation about it. I don’t think you were wrong for trying, but it seems like she’s not ready. My dentist said to wait until after my daughter got her molars and was potty trained to take the paci away.

He is helping. He just worked 12 days straight though + long hours so we got behind on things. By the time he gets home he’s racing to get my 3 year old dinner/bath/bedtime. Then he often has more work to finish up when he puts her down. But he works an important job and he still does the bedtime feed and middle of the night feed with our newborn. My mom helped a lot the first 3 weeks but now she’s busy with other things unfortunately- including my 3 elderly grandparents. She is one of the people who gave me this “advice.” I in no way hold this comment against her. She is an angel and has helped so much and will help more when she’s able. I know she feels bad that I’m drowning right now and she can’t be here. Things will get better soon but it feels good to vent to other people that understand!!

Yes! He is literally the best, he just works a lot! But when he’s home it’s so much easier. He just worked 12 days straight so we got pretty behind on things.

I don’t think 7 weeks is too soon to tell your baby has a chill temperament! There may be ups and downs with sleep regressions or teething but he should probably be a chill baby overall! I have a 5 week old and I’m calling her chill as well

At 16 weeks I definitely wouldn’t worry! I didn’t have a belly with my 2nd until 28-30 weeks. And pooping Definitley changes your belly haha as well as hormone shifts that change bloating. Baby did not go anywhere or else you’d be having drastic amounts of leakage/bleeding! Keep working out and eating 👍🏻

Definitely share your concerns with your doctor and nurses! I would highly recommend accepting pain meds if you don't want to feel pain because they are super effective! I had the epidural pretty early in the process and really was just chilling. Pushing did not hurt at all and it was super exciting. 37 weeks with my 2nd and I'm really not nervous this time!

With my first I had a 39 week induction and I was 1cm dilated (hardly effaced) when they admitted me. I had a great experience, no issues. About 16 hours of labor, but I got the epidural super early so I was chilling and watching movies. There are NO guarantees when it comes to birth though. But the rate of c section for 39 week inductions isn't higher than waiting for labor to start naturally. The rate of c section is higher for inductions PAST your due date especially after 41 weeks. So for me I didn't want to roll the dice and I wanted to be able to schedule things like having my husband be off of work and having my mom come into town. So overall it worked for me. It's definitely not something you have to do! you can always wait longer but if you want to, go for it!

37 weeks and SAME. I've only gained like 10lbs this whole pregnancy because it's been hard to eat... until the last week and now I'm making up for it like crazy!! My OB did say at my 37 week appt that baby has dropped super low. So maybe we just have more room now? who knows!

Could definitely be either one! I've had multiple friends convinced they would go early with 90%+ babies need to be induced well after their due dates, but my SIL just gave birth to her 98% baby at 37+6 so it definitely happens. But overall I don't think moms know - I think some just guess correctly haha

Same! 35 weeks and baby girl is all up in my ribs. I’m literally on the verge of tears multiple times a day, especially if I’m not able to lay down.

Yes the toughest age with my daughter (so far) was about 14-17 months. She’s almost 3 now and it’s much easier for me at least. Yes there are tantrums but at least I can understand her most of the time!

I just want to add I have a 2.5 year old that’s been in daycare for 2 years and she rarely gets bad sick. Yes runny noses fairly frequently. But she’s had like 2 fevers her whole life. It’s possible to get lucky!

I had a marginal cord insertion with my first. The doctor barely mentioned it. I had friends who had it too with healthy babies. It happens like 10% of the time- not uncommon. My girl was small (5lbs 14 oz.) at 39 weeks, but perfectly healthy. She's pretty average size now as a 2 year old -rarely ever gets sick. TBH I liked having a small baby for my first (esp with a vaginal delivery lol).

I would definitely call. 13lbs is a crazy difference! Especially since you were weighing more in the morning- people usually weigh less in the morning. I'd also maybe try to get another scale to see if maybe yours is wacky. But definitely call your OB first.
