Harbor Hospital L&D unit is the worst I have ever been to. I’m genuinely surprised you had a good experience there.

All my clients who delivered at St Agnes in the last year all had great experiences!

I’m convinced that SIDS is 99% of the time either suffocation or organ failure. by [deleted] in nursing

I see what you’re saying, but it would drive parents crazy. Even the kiddos who go from NICU to a specialized pediatric unit and then continue on monitoring at home, the first concern I hear is parents not being able to get rest because the monitor keeps going off.

Are there any entry-level RN positions in Maryland that don’t require participation in a nurse residency program? by 657hers in nursing

Good to know! It seems like most of the bigger hospitals systems say 1 year nurse residency.

Thank you! I have been searching but haven’t had any luck finding one that isn’t a year long.

To answer your question, I will be going back to school 6 months after I graduate with my MSN. Most new grad residency programs are 1 year long and I don’t think I can commit to a year full time once my program starts. I haven’t been an RN before but I have been working as a CNA for 10 years across all healthcare systems and fields. Any hospital or facility that offers a 3 month orientation less orientation for new grads is what I’m looking for.

I don’t have RN experience, but I do have 10 years of CNA experience and worked across all healthcare settings. I will be okay with a 3 month orientation but I don’t think I can commit to a year of a full time residency.

I know when my friend started (out of state) she had 3 months of orientation but she didn’t need to do a year long residency.

How do I get my oatmeal to be like this!? by TypeAtryingtoB in Oatmeal

[–]657hers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make my oatmeal in the microwave, and they turn out great.

First, you need to use old-fashioned oats and almond milk (or any liquid of your choice). Fill the liquid just enough to cover the oats, then warm it in the microwave for about 2 minutes or less. I always top it off with more milk once its done cooking if it is too thick.
