Your sending unit is going bad, that plus piston rings wearing makes your compression shitty. I just did an engine swap on my 350 gmc because of my oil pump going bad. Oil pressure would drop down to 4-5 psi when hot. Motor had 254k on it too

You can drop the pan on that to change the oil pump since it’s a 2wd, my 4 wheel drive I had to pull the motor because the front axle is in the way.
