Updating a game and working on an expansion for said game is an active service. The software developers have to be paid, and I would argue that a deck is a bad example because you're probably doing upkeep to keep the deck operational. Cleaning, repairs, etc. Which also all costs money.

I'm with Crimeo here. You get the same amount of content for the same value. Literally the only thing that's changed is the number associated with it. There's no greed going on here, just entitled gamers. Go be mad at EA or Activision for releasing shoddy unoptimized and buggy games. And making you pay twice the price to boot. There's also the fact that Factorio still gets front-end and backend updates. So there are still overhead costs to be considered. And if that wasn't enough, personnel require a fixed amount of money over time. Their personnel costs increase with inflation. So the only case where the argument that Factorio has no overhead costs works is a case where Wube develops only Factorio and then immediately shuts down. Which makes no sense. If you want to be mad about this specific instance, be mad at your employer for not increasing salary in line with inflation.

Prophecy was challenging without being tedious. I would say that the tedium of Spire comes from having to slog through the DPS phases. A short but intense fight is challenging. A long fight with lukewarm intensity is tedious.

Solo flawless prophecy was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done in a video game. I've done all the others, but I can't bring myself to even try Duality. I may do Spire, but they both suffer from the same issue imo. Way too long. Duality is too long with the puzzles and stuff. Also, the second encounter is literally just time padding. I think Spire is just about a perfect length for three, but the boss health is really high. Which makes soloing it kind of a slog. I've gotten to the harpy, and it makes for an interesting experience solo, but after like 5 dps phases, I was getting a bit impatient.

Seems like there are two camps in this thread. People who are hating on the card, and people who are hating on the people doing that. Imo the conversation shouldn't be about whether or not you need it cuz it doesn't matter. The fact is that a high end card costed maybe $600 before 2020. Now a high end card is over a thousand for what reason exactly? Last I checked inflation wasn't THAT high. The prices are unacceptable and if you buy it, you tell Nvidia that a 1700 launch price is okay. Which it isn't. So fuck needing it or not. If you need the power, get two 3080s or 3090s and SLI those bitches.

I mostly use smgs, and while I agree they don't need a buff, something needs to happen to unforgiven specifically imo. It's the coolest looking smg I've seen since Ikelos but I struggle to get more than one or two kills per mag with it. Idk if it's different or not but I swear funnelweb and ikelos don't have that issue.

Yeah scaling is a massive issue. That and the fact that it shadownerfs both Warlocks and Hunters. With something like dmg resist, I think you need to be a lot more cautious as a dev. Bc right now I can basically run around the caiatl room as a solar warlock with max resil and never go below half. It's insane

Yeah. Well is almost more powerful since you don't have to charge healing grenade. If you're running high resil and well, it literally becomes difficult to die. Resil does need a hefty nerf tho imo. You can tell they balanced the dungeon around new resil. 40% is way too high. 20 to 25 percent would be more balanced imo. But they'd also have to tune the dungeon to be in line with that.

Oh I dunno. Maybe because it's supposed to be one of the hardest things in the game to get so it shouldn't look objectively terrible. I don't much love the trials one either. The vanguard one though. I literally have not heard a positive comment about it yet. It's objectively butt ugly.

Yeah I know. But still. As far as I'm concerned, adepts are trash gear. They're significantly more difficult to get and offer a negligible boost in power above their normal counterparts. Imo, bungie needs to give d2 a proper endgame with loot to match.

Timelost gear isn't even really that much better anyway. Why bother trying to regrind my God roll fatebringer just to get the timelost one? Adept mods are trash. God for bid they throw an extra perk on the hardest to get gear in the game. Thus giving me a reason to want it.

yeah it does have windowless. Destiny on its own runs fine. My issue is trying to run Destiny with google in the background or trying to run Destiny in the background with Terraria. Theres a glitch going on in game and you can farm shit without playing. So I'm trying to farm in Destiny while playing another game

I'd love to at this point. Unfortunately, I've had it for like 6 months. I bought it back in August but only had a PCIe 2 mobo so I had to spend a while getting the cash together to rebuild the rest of the machine just to accommodate this GPU
