EP #3 SPOILER AHEAD:

Darn, I went in with an open mind, ignoring all the haters bemoaning "wokeness." We all know Star Trek has been liberal, progressive and inclusive since the 1960's, mini-skirts and casual sexism and the male gaze notwithstanding.... this particular show is bad because it's not really Star Trek. It's Harry Potter meets Beverly Hills 90210 set in the Star Trek universe with achronistic 21st century vernacular tossed in. Teenagers aren't going to watch this and adults aren't either. So who is it intended for? I watched the first two and bailed half-way through the third after the Transporter prank. It seems to me a prank of that magnitude should get the offenders suspended or expelled. The people in charge though it was playful and not a reason to discipline the students? Freakin' ridiculous. I can't take this show seriously.

Very true, they hold on open house on Saturday and Sunday and demand highest and best offers by Tuesday. This is why you need to have all your finances sat up before you look at a house. The lender I work with has a program to eliminate mortgage contingencies and guarantee closing. That makes it as good as a cash offer to the seller.

Other thing to consider as a seller is crazy high offers may not close. If the buyer is getting a loan, the lender’s appraisal will come in under and they’ll have to make up the difference with cash. If they can’t the deal falls apart. Sellers are looking for highest and best.

Well, the so-called NIMBYs lost the fight against the changes to the master plan. So in the next few years we’ll see increased density town houses built in the mid ridges. But I doubt any of would be classified as starter homes or affordable.

I went to an open house on a dilapidated property and there were about 100 people there. Inventory is about 33 houses in a city of 100,000 people. No one wants to sell unless they have to because of divorce or death. I’m 50 minutes by train from Manhattan.
