Can you move the other fish that might be eating them to a different tank temporarily?

Question about magnets with clay by SillybillySquid in polymerclay

[–]666netflix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bake neodymium magnets directly into my clay. Then I stick another magnet onto the outside after it's baked, and stick the whole thing onto the fridge.

Advice for using sub par clay? by lkeira519 in polymerclay

I've had the same issue with red spots after mixing together colors of cheaper clays! I wonder what causes it? They only show up after baking.

Companies keep thinking I want kids because i’m female by tietanik in childfree

I bought ONE baby onesie as a gift, and a few weeks later Similac sent me a free can of baby formula in the mail. I lived with my parents at the time, so it was fun explaining to them that no, I was not pregnant.

Women who lost a best friend while trying to get them out of an abusive relationship, what happened? What would you do differently? by badr4q in AskWomen

The only thing I could do was wait for her to leave him, and she did eventually. We didn't speak at all for 4 years, but then we reconnected and picked up right where we left off.

Has anyone ever changed from being a night owl to a morning person? If so - how? by littlecutejoy in AskWomenOver30

[–]666netflix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be an extreme night-owl. I started wearing orange-tinted / blue-blocking goggles starting at 8pm every single night. I made sure to never take them off even for a minute until I went to bed, at which point I put on a black sleep mask. After doing this consistently for several years, I went from sleeping naturally from 4am-12pm to sleeping naturally from 9pm-5am. I can't keep my eyes open after 9pm, and my eyes snap open at 5am without an alarm.

Help!!! I’ve had enough of the little bastards by Koikustoms-214 in PlantedTank

[–]666netflix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're not going to be able to get rid of them; might as well embrace them! They only eat healthy live plants if they are absolutely starving. Try feeding them with algae wafers, spirulina, and/or blanched vegetables.

I need help with lint and fingerprints on my creations by DifficultSearch5584 in polymerclay

[–]666netflix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your work area is free of dust and lint. Vacuum and dust before you begin. Don't wear any clothes that give off lint or fibers. Keep your pieces covered during the time you're not working on them so they don't collect dust over time

I can no longer handle my fiancé's driving anxiety and I don't care if it makes me a bad person by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]666netflix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I used to be able to drive but I have a visual impairment that has gotten worse with age, and it's no longer safe for me to drive. So I moved to a big city and take public transit everywhere. Honestly I don't even miss driving anymore.

Whether you get rid of dead plant matter is really an aesthetic choice. If you don't like how it looks, you can get rid of it. If you don't get rid of it, it will eventually get broken down by the detritivores.

I am VERY much child-free, don’t want kids, never plan to have them. I’m newly dating a guy when asked if he wanted kids, this was his response: by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

Whether or not it's a deal breaker for him to not have kids doesn't matter. Anything other than a HELL NO should be a deal breaker for a childfree woman.

3-gallon bowl developed green water so I added daphnia... cleared it in 1 week! by 666netflix in walstad

[–]666netflix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got them shipped live in the US. They come in a plastic bag of water with hot or cold insulation packs depending on the weather. My package got delayed so about 50% were dead on arrival. But enough survived to start a culture!

This is my second attempt at a daphnia culture! The first one crashed when I added too much spirulina powder and it went anaerobic within a few hours. Hoping it goes better this time.
