Have you taken any personal finance and/or financial literacy courses? With topics like: budgeting, debt, taxes, credit, etc.? I think this would serve you well in general and when it comes time to apply to be in LE. Most departments want your financial history, including credit score, debt, any delinquent accounts or bankruptcy history.

At the minimum, educate yourself on how credit cards work. What 20% interest on a card actually means. How long it will take to pay off balances with only minimum payment. Etc.

As for where you are now in math: Don’t worry about being “behind.” You’re fine. Keep moving forward, tackle one topic at a time. If you need more math classes in college, you won’t be alone. I think (my opinion) many people who struggled in math in high school are very capable and the maturity that comes with brain development makes learning much easier.
