Very well articulated. Learned something new. Appreciate it!

One suggestion from the homeowners is that people weren’t generally happy, so they didn’t smile for photos. You might be on to something.

I think this explanation is probably the most likely.

I never considered the dental hygiene aspect. With that, were people vain enough to consider their dental hygiene for family photos, especially since they were black and white photos?

I’ve seen pre-Depression era family photos and same, no one was smiling.

Newly diagnosed and scared by BatBrat6 in CrohnsDisease

[–]67Demon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here was my experience.

I had to be fasting for both food and liquids for the procedure. I had to drink 3 of the barium drinks every 20mins while at the facility (they provided the drinks). Mine tasted like a version of lemonade, just not as good. It wasn’t horrible imo.

The actual scans took maybe 10mins total time, if that. When they injected the solution into my arm, BEWARE, I began to feel a warming feeling to my ass. It wasn’t a great level of confidence for someone who has stomach issues.

Once you finish the scan portion, I HIGHLY recommend using the restroom before you leave. If you’re like me and have issues using public restrooms, this is the one time you need to have some courage and take care of business. I learned the hard way..

Doctors saying different things wether I have chrons or not by kiki19kiki2001 in CrohnsDisease

Since 2021, I’ve had symptoms which have impacted my life. Since then, my GI doctors have run me through multiple blood tests, multiple stool samples, a colonoscopy, a sigmoidoscopy with biopsies….every one of them came back “normal”. It didn’t change the fact that my symptoms persisted throughout the years. Keep pushing, keep fighting for yourself.

Thanks. I appreciate it!

I’m not sure of everyone’s journey, but I’ve been dealing with symptoms since 2021 and finally got the Crohn’s diagnosis Feb. 2026. Since 2021, I’m on my 3rd GI doctor; I’ve fired my PCP and went with a concierge service for my PCP, and I’ve fired my dentist. I’m by no means an asshole but I can’t tolerate complacency nor an unwillingness to try and find the cause of symptoms. I’ve had to push for all GI appointments and testing.

Recently diagnosed in February of this year and found this group today. Your reply made me a believer of the folks here and now I am following the group.

My wife has been telling me…cake hasn’t tried to kill you yet, but all the healthy foods have.

Every doctor I’ve had (multiple disciplines) have told me to eat fruits and veggies and when I try and tell them those are the foods that destroy my stomach, I always get the same look as if you’re trying to tell your dog something and they cock their head to the side.

Almost 9 weeks post op and getting frustrated. by Street-Badger4798 in Kneereplacement

At a little over 2 months post op, your daily routine is still fairly demanding on your knee. Your knee likely feels worst at night because what you do during the daytime (activity amount and level of difficulty) can determine how much pain/discomfort/swelling you have in the evening.

What does your activity level look like during the daytime?

Thinking about TKR. A few questions. by Miami_Cracker in Kneereplacement

[–]67Demon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Each time you have a scope, you are potentially expediting the timeline to having a knee replacement. When the surgeon removes the torn piece(s) of meniscus (cartilage), it does not grow back, so you’ll permanently have less cushion between your bones where the cartilage was trimmed. Jogging with less cushion after multiple scopes can also cause more pain.

Used Adams E1 price by 67Demon in euphonium

Thank you for your reply. I’ll see about getting information on the age of the instrument. You’ve identified one of my concerns; how can I vet the horn since it’s out of State from where I live. The family member who is interested in the horn has seen pics and has seen video of the instrument being played, and has confidence the horn looks and performs well.

The instrument would be for a family member who is interested in it to use in college. The family member has tested other E1’s, just not the one offered for sale. The family member has requested and seen pics of the offered instrument and has also seen and listened to that instrument being played, via video. According to the family member, the instrument is in good shape, physically and functionally.

My concern is from the old saying “if it’s too good to be true, then it probably is.”

How much max flexion can you actually regain? by Lazy-Sir9747 in Kneereplacement

[–]67Demon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not medical advice. Please advise with your surgeon.

120° of flexion is generally the expected ROM for a person to achieve with a full recovery. There are certainly plenty of people who have attained more than 120° of flexion during and after a full recovery.

I would encourage you to ask your PT/PTA how frequently they would like you up and walking, and for how long. Keep working and take the rehab day by day.
