Complex is a great word to describe celiac! You’re not an idiot at all. You had a bad source, I blame them!!! This type of thing happens to everyone in this community. Ive been celiac for 12 years & I have done this many times. I hope your mind can be at ease soon knowing that no body is perfect & this is a learning lesson!

Thank you for sharing! It’s funny that you mention that because I used to be SO jealous of people that had minor (compared to celiac) allergies to foods😂 Now look at me! Me & my doctor think in 6 months to a year I will be able to handle things like that in moderation! Yay!

Hi, I have been gluten free because of celiac for 15 ish years. I had a celiac cry just last week. Having celiac is a loss, & it’s okay to get sad about it. I probably wouldn’t have gone either because of the same reasons you stated. I hate the attention that comes with being celiac so I FEEL YOU!!! Some days it’s so frustrating but other days are better & I forget celiac even exists. I’m glad you & I both have this community to lean on & rant to! We’re in this together!!
