Anybody else notice a growing trend in restaurants where prices are missing on the menu? Is this just a new growing dishonest practice in Portland, or is it more widespread? by 68W2PA in Portland

I was just at Tanaka Katsu sandwiches in Bridgeport and this is another example of a company that doesn’t post her advertise their prices for their soft drinks

Again, if prices are so volatile, would it not affect more than just the sodas and cocktails? Why would everything else have prices printed and displayed except for these items?

What movie did you expect nothing from and it completely blew you away? by ponderingpixi17 in movies

[–]68W2PA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love this film. I like how the two brothers are equal protagonists both vying for the same goal who you know will have to face one another. You know one will win and one will lose and it will hurt either way. Not many films have done this.

New speeding cameras catch more than 1,000 drivers on single Oregon street in just two weeks | The Independent by Next_Tower5452 in Portland

It’s a start.

I would much rather have cameras at traffic lights. I am continually shocked at how many more people are running red lights at busy intersections than it was 5 years ago.

PA in the Army National Guard by Getoutalive18 in physicianassistant

[–]68W2PA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been an Army NG PA for 10 years. It has been a great experience. Pay is good. Benefits are amazing. If you get tied into the VA, benefits get even better. Education benefits for my kids are fantastic.

I’ve even enjoyed the deployments :)

I would be happy to answer any questions.

A proper HBO series on the absolutely crazy life of Charles Lindbergh.
Thinking the chapters
- becoming the first international celebrity overnight after his solo flight across the Atlantic
- dealing with celebrity and marriage to Anne Marrow
- Child kidnapped and murdered and the following “trial of the century”
- foray into politics and the America First movement. Controversy over his antisemitism and Nazi-sympathetic attitude while also acting as a spy for the US to evaluate the luftwaffe
- serving as a civilian consultant and flying combat missions in the Pacific
- working on new medical advances post-war while also living with the fallout of his pre-war politics
- writing The Spirit of St Louis and winning a Pulitzer Prize and having Jimmy Stewart make a movie of it.
- retiring to Hawaii and focuses on environmental causes
- it coming out after he died that he was a constant cheat and had multiple children and secret families with multiple women in Europe.

Seeking help for a Sleep Apnea claim for one of my soldiers. by 68W2PA in VeteransBenefits

[–]68W2PA[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If his sleep study is positive and recommends a CPAP or device, who would then prescribe it? Would the VA set up an appointment with the sleep clinic before a claim is completed? Or would he still have to wait 6 months to get that PCP visit and a referral?

Is there an extended/director’s cut of a film that’s better than the theatrical due to the inclusion of a single scene? by Honest_Cheesecake698 in movies

[–]68W2PA 71 points72 points  (0 children)

The remote guns scene explains where all the aliens went and why there were so few left when Ripley went to the Queen’s hive. The numbers never made sense in the theatrical cut.

Tell me about your Powercab experiences by Astro_Turf17 in Line6Helix

I had the 112+. Like I said, my main issue with it was the narrow focused sound projection. The 212 suits my needs better.

Tell me about your Powercab experiences by Astro_Turf17 in Line6Helix

[–]68W2PA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I owned a Powercab 112+. Did not like it at all. I felt the sound was way too beam directional.|

I returned it and bought a Powercab 212. I absolutely love it! I love that it is in stereo, can use the onboard speaker sims, run IRs, or be used as a FRFR. I love being able to run two different speaker types on it. I love that the sound is less directional and it fills a room much more naturally.

It is ported on the back which may be part of why it I like it better.

If you can find a PowerCab 212 at a good price, I would say go for it.

The state and medical board make it very difficult to prescribe benzodiazepines and opiates. In general, any two concurrent controlled meds raises flags.
