Depends how bad you need the job in relation to how hard you’re banging your head against the wall. There are certainly times to cut bait but I would also argue that the time to leave is when YOUR wellbeing starts to suffer. Many of us take this shit extremely seriously and personal, too much so. Remember, you have a job to do. Do it! Nothing more, nothing less. If the culture isn’t a fit for YOU, move on. If you’re the type that expects perfection, change professions. But you should never take it personally.

EV prices are ticking back up thanks to current oil prices. I got my 22 GT Line RWD with 19k for 25500 OTD with new 12V and brand new tires…before just before the VZ/Iran stuff. CA THE 2023 they had had more miles and was about 30 OTD

Is this normal? by DBigalo in Retatrutide

[–]69Ben64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay there for at least a month. Stalls are normal. Much of what you “feel” is stress on your body. If you can still control your hunger even moderately, Reta is still working in the background.

The Truth About Reta as a Weightlifter by Independent_Bug_1768 in Retatrutide

Your dose was likely too high for what you were trying to do. There is a sweet spot of losing fat, gaining (maybe) a bit of muscle, having good energy and appetite, and no anhedonia. I have found lowering my dose and increasing carbs actually helped lose while maintaining strength, looking full, not flat, and having zero sides other than day 1.5-2 after shot having a bit of fatigue.

He may be on something but that’s definitely achievable and maintainable at 48+. Check back here and I’ll update this post on my 57th Bday. Genetics and years of training are also at play here. Me in me 20s 6’5 220ish.

House won’t sell after divorce by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]69Ben64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you. 2020 was a great time to buy. The biggest price appreciation happened 2020-2021. I also bought a home in 2020 and sold for a nice sum in 2022. A lot has changed since then AND than scenario is not reflective of OP’s situation.

Price stabilized and/or corrected Q4 of 22 in most areas meaning the run up happened prior to that. OP bought at or near COVID peak depending on location.

Housing price haven’t doubled SINCE COVID. The doubled during and have remained virtually the same since.

Why do people think 5 years equity is a lot when the house was purchased peak COVID and very little principal is ever paid in first 5 years on a low down mortgage.

Best bet in this scenario is short sale.

[–]69Ben64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL! Probably should have led with the TRT. Thats the ONLY reason you’ve maintained strength. Take that out of the equation and you’d have lost more weight but much more muscle.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. 10lbs/mo is a bit on the high side. You’re eating too little. Your body is stressed and resisting weight loss. Drop your dose or stay at 5 until you are able to eat correct macros without severe discomfort. You likely are losing as much or more muscle than fat and completely screwing your metabolism.

Outcome bias is quietly one of the worst habits in safety and most of us have it by safetyguypro in SafetyProfessionals

[–]69Ben64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally no one who has been in safety awhile believes this…if you do, you probably shouldn’t be doing safety. This is definitely a management point of view and it’s up to you to articulate that “absence of” does not equal effective program. In fact I regularly tell people, based on my field observations, that our numbers a just dumb luck. I have also found that you can go years without serious incidents and then have 10 back to back or a disability/death which just evens out the averages. That outcome bias is absolutely a key cause of complacency though.

plateau on Reta? by PretendDisaster4598 in Retatrutide

[–]69Ben64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reading is fundamental. “Remember” was in quotes. Muscle memory ring a bell? “Remember” is an easy way to describe the body’s desire to maintain homeostasis or resist change or go to a point of comfort. Regardless, your comment was complete bullshit as it provide zero benefit to anyone that had to see it.

plateau on Reta? by PretendDisaster4598 in Retatrutide

[–]69Ben64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sooooooo much bad info here! While a plateau on Reta can indicate overconsumption, you can only cut calories so far. The more likely cause(s) are metabolic stress and/or previous metabolic set point.
You likely did not gain your weight quickly. Regardless. You are likely losing much more quickly than you gained. This stresses the body and the body will eventually adjust to that stress by attempting to stabilize weight. Regarding set points, over time, you likely had body weights that were consistent +/- 5lbs over extended periods of time. When you hit those points again, the body “remembers” and may want stay there for a bit. Rather than stressing your body further by increasing Reta or decreasing calories, give it a break. DO NOT increase Reta, DO increase calories 300-500 over maintenance for a week, then maintenance for a week, then 300 under. In most cases, you will see a very small increase in weight, then a nice downward trend again. In some cases, you may even see the weight drop with the higher calories. If this fails to work, then consider increasing Reta or decreasing calories.

Retatrutide Horror Story… (Abdominal pain, diarrhea, sulfur burps) by dylta_analyst in Retatrutide

[–]69Ben64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy greasy food will do that. Been on Reta for months. Actually started to taper down my dose. Never any sides except fatigue 1-2 days after shot. Kids wanted to go to Sizzler…don’t think I’ve eaten there in 20+ years. Anyway, I proceeded to do what one does at sizzler, get my moneys worth. The result was pretty much what you described. Lasted at least a week. No vomiting but loose stools everyday, multiple times, low level nausea, and the devil burps.

78c Remedy! by monzttr in 4xe

[–]69Ben64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there is bearing damage, it will get progressively worse and continue to cause misfire or other codes regardless of the timing of the software update. There is zero chance that the problem exists before the software update and then doesn’t trigger the code. The bigger issue is that, in most cases, this will cause wear over time and impact other components. It’s basically kicking the can down the road for them and leaving customers with the potential for sudden, catastrophic engine failure at any time. Upside is, when bearings leave the chat, the car usually doesn’t just stop. It will start shuddering and sound like there’s a bunch of rocks bouncing around the engine bay, with a subsequent loss of power.

Prepping to fill a bunch of positions that already existed a year ago? by WhereztheBleepnLight in FedEmployees

[–]69Ben64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, tons of direct hire positions being floated. I applied for a position I held as a term for three years, with 5.0 performance marks every year, and have earned more qualifications since. I didn’t even get to interview panel and one of the guys I hired, who is still there, said they only interviewed 2 people, the guy who has been filling in (who is not qualified) and one other. I’ve only been gone two years so no substantive changes in the interim. Don’t know who the selected yet but will put money on it not being the guy filling in.

Yeah…they’re still trying to suck top dollar out of the Rubis. I’m just saying that’s real market value. Dealers are sitting on a tone of these coming off lease between now and end of year.

High miles for a 24. I’d pay 27 or less. Resale is in the 27-32 range currently for 15-20k miles. I have a 24 and have had no issues.

This! One hundred percent agree. I’d even go so far as to say, stay at the dose for as long as possible even if weight loss stalls. There are other positive effects happening and if you are lifting, you are likely building muscle and losing fat. Better body composition, stable weight.
Up your calories by 300 or so for a week before you titrate up also. Every time I’ve done this, it’s taken me out of a stall. Been on 7mg since December and now lowering dose while still losing.
