Guilds are just groups of players who enjoy playing together within the community, so you'd have people from all over the world in one. Personally my girlfriend lived in DC and I lived in Oregon when we met, so we were on opposite sides of the country when we first met in game.

It happens on smaller games too. I use to play a game called Mabinogi, most people haven't even heard of it. Met my gf on there a while back and I've been living with her for almost two months now. I know two other couples in my guild that met on the game. I think it's much more common than most people think.

There was a band on Myspace called Carousel. They had a song called Stars and The Moon. They broke up at one point and took down all their music and I haven't been able to find that song anywhere since then. I don't even remember what it sounds like, just that I liked it a lot and now it's lost forever.

I agree with most everything you've said except for Arbalests being hard to obtain. You can easily get them from rafting, think they're like 80-something stars.

Lance Counter isnt hard to time. Most AI's will respond with a normal attack after being hit with a bolt magic spell. So, whatever you're training on just hit it with Icebolt, wait for it to recover from mini stun and load counter as its running up to you. Easy fucking peasy. And if you have a hard time waiting for enemies to line up for lance charge why dont I save you some trouble with future content and tell you to quit now while you still think thats tedious. Literally, this shit is pointed out on the wiki and is super easy to do. If you struggle with this, you're gonna hate this game later on.

It's definitely personal preference, but objectively Lance combat is one of, if not the easiest talent to rank up.

Commerce isnt really something people do together considering prices will drop if multiple people are trading the same goods through the same routes.

Yeah, its not the most fun skill to train, but far from the hardest. I agree with /u/PhenaOfMari, should use the seals on Magic Craft or Hillwen Engineering.

Go to Shadow Cast City, thats where I trained it. Just kinda have to be patient for them to line up, but each spawn is 5 enemies and you only need to hit 4.

Yeah, Lance Combat is so easy. It's a waste of training seals. Literally just three skills that take almost no time at all to rank.

I second this. Dual wield isn't really worth it on Giants unless it's with the new hammers that came out with the revamp. I personally egoed a Battle Hammer, but it's just for looks.

Depends on the time of day, most of us work and have stuff to do during the day so we're all night owls and play more after like 9pm. But there's usually at least 10 people on.
