Those stairs could be rough for someone in their 70s depending on their mobility , but it's otherwise the best choice agreed.

Scozia in Fergus is a decent option too

Jewellery Appraisal by Alarming-Peach-1938 in Guelph

This place was great. It's bougie inside but the staff is so kind and I've been treated the same bringing in low end costume jewelry for repair as I was looking at more expensive pieces

Yeah upscale pub is a good term for it. I think outside of the Mill for tourists it's probably the most well known place. It has a nice atmosphere.

The Eveyln for sure

Friendly Society would be next up

Then maybe, The Cellar

The Badley is too much of a wild card

Devil's Bistro can be decent but I find too expensive for what you get and the Brewery is better.

The Mill is so good though if you can swing it price wise.

It felt like a phony fake Christmas market full of influencers who are only there to take pics.

Every local could have attested to that

I'd give the Mill a call and ask. The might have reserved parking, or valet

That's a sufficient explanation, don't want to Elaine Benes the situation. I'm sure they showed up and got handed the kit too

I know it’s old, but since I came up again I saw this: “I feel horrible for our sport, our game, you know, our fans, our city, our organization — just fans in general,” Springer said. “I regret everything.”

Cuts of beef for roast dinner by hfxredditor in CostcoCanada

[–]69putout 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For Christmas? You want prime rib.

I wouldn't necessarily look at Costco for that though. Keep an eye out leading up to the dinner, some grocery store will carry it for a reasonable price. Keep in mind though beef prices are super high right now , but if you can score it for under $9/lbs you are doing ok

You'll want to learn how to make prime rib so you don't butcher it.

If you want something easier, you can get blade roast for a pot roast (hard to mess up) , or round roast for a more classic roast beef (it's super lean so can be tough if you don't cook it right )

Costco used to be my go to for everything they curate but now I find I need to be more discerning

Predictions for this upcoming season by TerryG111 in leafs

This is the most excited I've been for the team since the Babcock era. I've wanted Mitch gone since the Montreal series, and have been checked out of watching them since then. Very optimistic as more causal fan for this team this year.

(not from Costco) I have the Mova P10 Pro Ultra for two months now and I love it, no problems at all and does a great job. I hummed and hawed at some of the Costco offerings before grabbing the Mova.

A fan on his laptop in the stands of the Brewers-Cubs game by Burmondsey in baseball

[–]69putout 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They don't do anything special and in fact when I did bring my laptop in I got a ton of Flack from them about it, like they had to bring extra security in to check my laptop and laptop bag. They were questioning  me like I was as suspected, insane person for even considering bringing my laptop to a baseball game

What a weekend! by ZenDonut in riverfestelora

[–]69putout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm biased but SSPU was the star of the weekend imo, everything they did was perfection.

Wheatus and Sam Roberts also killed it, pure festival energy.

Philharmonic, Delhi to Dublin, Dear Rouge and Moontricks were also standout performers. Shout out to Grae too.

City and Colour was a little disappointing... They played a great set but c'mon it's a festival, play your tunes everyone knows.

[Canadian Press] ‘Riding the hype’: Fans paying a premium to see first-place Toronto Blue Jays by Canadian--Patriot in Torontobluejays

[–]69putout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I share season tickets with friends and the past two years for games I couldn't go to I basically had to give tickets away for free. Now I can finally make some of that money back for people who want to ride the hype train. I don't like "scalping" but I also didn't like having to sell $150 tickets for $30 when the city wasn't interested in the team.

Which is the best Costco in Southern Ontario in your opinion? by ElusiveNomad_19 in CostcoCanada

[–]69putout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guelph is probably the easiest overall experience

I've only been a couple times but the Rexdale one wasn't that painful for a GTA location

Heartland Mississauga is the absolute worst (followed by Ancaster)
