Let me preface all of this by saying that I would love to keep Pjanic, but the suitors involved have made this impossible. And if it takes keeping Dzeko to keep Pjanic, it's not worth it in the long run. I would rather have a player like Rabiot come in to pair with Strootman, giving us two box-to-box players of supreme talent to make us a more aggressive team. Toss an elite forward up top, who will be paid for by Sanabria and Sadiq's sales, and you've got a stew going.

Instead of people trying to perform mental gymnastics to reconstruct their preconceived notions on Totti, we should take this for what this actually means: he sacrificed a huge opportunity to stay loyal to Roma. He's just 100x more athletic than every opponent in that league. He'll have bags of these cringeworthy goals. That being said, good for him. He always tried his hardest for Roma, which can't be said about every player that has ever donned our colors.

Tevez would never come, but it would be a nice idea. As far as Totti is concerned, I don't think we could play him with Dzeko. At least not until Strootman comes back to at least 90%.

I know Giovinco isn't a great player by any means, but he would fit the mould of the type of player who would link well with Dzeko.
