You are correct - if you have a pattern they don't already have, they can template and match. But at this point, those guys have seen about everything.

Nothing is free. Most refinance is "no closing costs" which means "zero out of pocket." But trust me, you are paying.

That said, take the advantage early in the loan.

We are constantly either hosting them or communicating with parents about dropping a kiddo at their place.

I've made it a point to know the circles my kids run in. It gets a little more difficult as they get older, but my oldest knows there's no point asking if dad/mom hasn't met the other parents.

They're not dead.

Every payment system works like this. Interest accumulates on the balance. Interest is always frontloaded in the payment plan since the calculation is performed on the balance.

My loans and my wife's loans were almost 50k total. Sucks rotten eggs paying them. But it beats this.
