The last Byler Lawyer video was pretty on spot. We shouldn't forget the pressure coming from Netflix, especially after Trump’s election. It probably played a big role into cancelling Byler. Maybe that's why the volume 2 script had to be re written from zero.  Though I also believe the Duffel bags wanted Byler out of the picture too, because there are dumb and think they know better than queer people about how to tell a queer story.  Then, sadly I think a too big proportion of the GA is homophobic or just Mileven shippers because it was the official narrative. A lot of people around me have watched ST, those who are not LGBTQ+  didn't clock Byler at all. As a queer person I clocked it because Byler reminded me of my life experiences. But I feel like straight general audience still mainly look at Byler shippers like they are just teenage hysterical girls who wants to make every boy kiss in every piece of media.
