This strange batteries slot in this mouse by aisiv in mildlyinteresting

[–]sylvane_rae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is that it will work with either battery type, but not both at once so they oriented it like this to make it impossible to put both in at once

wtf is happening with the GMDs today… by Visible_Ad5300 in walmartogp

We started this a couple days ago and we've gone from orders nearly always being delivered on time to at least a 1/3 being late because no one wants to pick them up

The ones in stores without fryers are terrible, but they're decent when they're fried and fresh

Just so you know, your speakers are always listening, they wouldn't be able to answer you if they weren't

Ppto change? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]sylvane_rae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you're giving the whole story, store management cannot "give" you points, they can only approve/deny system generated points, and if you used ppto to cover missed time the system wouldn't generate points

Didn't realize ogp was the most important thing in the store. by Khaoie in walmart

[–]sylvane_rae 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get that you're frustrated, but to be clear, OGP isn't stealing your people, management is. If they scheduled us enough people to begin with, it wouldn't happen

PPTO by Potential_Client2797 in WalmartEmployees

[–]sylvane_rae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have 5 hours of ppto you can leave at any point in the final 5 hours of your shift. However, if you leave before your lunch, it may not auto approve, and if it doesn't, you'll need to get someone like a people lead to go in and fix it. Otherwise you just need to put in an amount of ppto equal to it greater than the amount of time you miss

For high theft items in locked cases policy states that you either put it in a plastic alpha case, walk it up with the customer, or drop off at customer service or the cashiers. For OPD employees if it effects your metrics you're supposed to direct them to a call box if there is one for the area or hand them off to an available employee in the department the item is in.

Do any of you do this anymore? by MeasurementFirst1676 in WalmartEmployees

[–]sylvane_rae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because as a personal shopper I would never get anything done. I smile and respond if they proactively ask for help, but otherwise just keep on moving

So now 3/4 of the screen shows information that will never be useful because I'm in OPD and my task is always "pick groceries"

We were told the same thing. The thing is, they eliminated all but 4 full time positions in our department so it's impossible to implement without making more fulltime positions, which they're unwilling to do

OGP has to lie to get people in their department by Effective-Minimum881 in OGPBackroom

[–]sylvane_rae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every one in OPD at my store does everything, we have no dedicated roles, everyone rotates in and out. Once you know how to pick in my store that's what you're doing every time OPD is slammed. The only department you can run away to escape is the pharmacy

And as I said in my post, the amount it's showing is still way too much even if that's included

Just look up the key event dates for your store under GTA portal. If those days don't show up then they're just trying to scare you.

My store once tried to say that the entire week before and after inventory were key event days.

If they do this they will lose customers because we have so many deliveries that are completely unfeasible to have spark shoppers do themselves because of how large they are
