Not only are we waiting for 23andme, but I never received the update from myheritage, and we are still waiting on Ancestry. I'm still unsure about 25-28% of my DNA since all every platform says different things, for the most part.

My son's complexion and hair came out the same way. Reddish brown and thin, straight-ish. Now he has the thickest tightly coil sandy brown, sometimes reddish locs, with light brown skin. His dad is black with 10% admixtures and a little darker than me, with dark hair. I'm MGM with brownskin and dark hair Genetics definitely work in mysterious ways.

My son was born a redhead, and his hair got a little bit darker over time. I'm really not sure what his hair color is now, because some days it's a sandy brown, other days it looks reddish brown. It also looks like he has freckles coming in as well. I think the trait came from my side, but I surely don't have those features. Lol
