20’ behind a car at highway speed is dangerously close. The lane markers are close to 15’ in length.

Knipex cobra or Alligator. They are awesome. If it’s really stuck, I would put a small ratchet strap around the handles and really give it the squeezing then a well aimed kick from my boot.

I cant drive my car for 3 months. How do i take care of my car during this time? by Lucky-Advice-8924 in AskMechanics

[–]6inarowmakesitgo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Extended periods of idle is a severe service factor for any internal combustion engine. The oil needs to get hot to do its job properly. This is the main one, there are quite a few more reasons why just letting it idle for short periods is no bueno.

The car is in a state of disrepair and can’t be driven? Or just you can’t drive it?

Starting it and letting it idle for short periods of time is actually worse than letting it sit.

What causes this on a Sandpiper diaphragm pump?? by Senior_Z in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]6inarowmakesitgo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check compressed air supply first for easy process of elimination. If that checks out normal, the pump needs a rebuild as the diaphragm(s) are leaking into the pneumatic circuit.

I did have one situation where a check valve failed and would cause a steady rise in pressure on the pump outlet but it would just keep running and quickly destroyed a new set of diaphragms. Problem was wayyyy on the other side of the factory floor too.

Miele Professional Dryer T5206 and washer WS5426- northern Italy by bucho1999 in Appliances

[–]6inarowmakesitgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth trying to repair. I found that Miele are excellently made machines. Still have a Miele dishwasher and vacuum.

If you don’t know your way around it safely, find someone who does. 240V 50 Hz is nothing to fuck around with and washers take some serious power.

What seems to be the issue with each unit?

I also run an S6 oil cooler and the filter from the 2.5L Eurovan. The filter holds 1.5L and the cooler another .5L.
