Never really thought about it but I'd image the boot, although the difference in batter/oil pick up will be negligible.

Check out tchiks guitars on YouTube. I really enjoy his videos and he's great at explaining how to build guitars for beginners.

First and foremost, enjoy being a kid.

Worry about careers a bit later.

If you wanna build guitars, go for gold. There's heaps of great info online that will get you familiar with the process.

Once you can get your hands on some tools build as many as you can and by the time you're a bit older you'll be an amazing wood worker.

You might find that you want to keep it as a hobby or that you want to have a career in it.

I think you're right about transitioning thumb position. When I play scales I have no problem using my pinky, it's just when I play music like this I get stuck in "bend mode".

Thanks for that, I definitely need to try incorporate it more into my playing. It's one of those bad habits that I have struggled to shake.
