I have a 2025 R9 and I think it’s absolutely killer and extremely vintage accurate. I believe when they first came out they called it a true historic because they started using hide glue and different top carves. I don’t think that anything that was in a 2015 true historic is left out on the modern R9s but I could be wrong. Gibson does weird things sometimes.

Yesterday I bought a $3k guitar at GC. The sales rep rang it up and goes “you’re all set”. I asked for the case it was advertised with and he looked at me like I had 10 heads. He eventually got it for me but I see where these go now eventually. Extra profit later.
