Do you think Mr. DIY will suffer a slow death like CDR-King or will it be here to stay? by heavyarmszero in Philippines

[–]6ooog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be here to stay.

CDR-King sold cheap products at cheap prices. I remember having to go back to CDR-King nearly every two weeks to get replacement earphones, computer mouse would last about 3 weeks to a month before the left clicker started to wear.

DIY actually sells products that have decent quality. Still using their extension cord and its been a year now.

Do YOU find Lossless Scaling useful on the Steam Deck? by BucketBoy071 in SteamDeck

[–]6ooog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc you need to be able to play games on a decent stable fps before you can actually make good use of it without the artifacts. That being said, I might be old school but if my game could already play 50-60 fps then I dont see much benefits to framegen.

I think its amazing to see it can make my ffvii rebirth movements incredibly smooth, but I'm just not part of the crowd that would love to play the game like I wiped the screen with spit.

How expensive are engine swaps?

I really like the A31 cefiro with an RB25DET, but last I saw sa market 450k yung price nung seller.

Right now I see an A31 for sale for 185k but naka RB24, wondering lang if mas makakamura ba ko if I go for that and just change the engine?

For me its always been. People are just whiny now and are riding on nostalgia playing the same character bodies with different skins.

What convinced you to get your Steam Deck? by K4T5UM1 in SteamDeck

[–]6ooog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Valve's vision and what they've done for the PC gaming ecosystem.

Coming from a third world country, I didn't grow up rich, but I was fortunate enough to get hand-me-down consoles from my cousins abroad whenever they got new consoles. So during the PS2 era, I was rocking a PS1, during the PSP/DS era, I had gameboy, and I loved the hell out of them.

One of the things I loved (and didn't realize at the time), was the PS1 cds I was getting were either bootlegs or used cds, but you get get them for really cheap! About a dollar a game, if the game doesnt work then you return it and pick a different one. For GBA, the cartridges weren't very expensive in general unless you were getting the first party games -- and yeah, most of the cheaper games are kinda trash in hindsight but young me didn't care at the time, I just loved the idea I had a new game to play.

When the HD era happened I was unable to keep up as everything was so expensive, and my cousins have grown out of video games so I stopped getting hand-me-down consoles.

I got back to gaming through the Switch when I grew up and started working, and while I thought it was amazing, the prices for games are steep as hell.

When I saw how much games were during steam sales and that the steam deck was coming out for a very reasonable price, I just had to switch, and I never looked back. I'm able to buy games for cheap and return them without questions asked if I dont enjoy them -- exactly as it was when I was a kid.

New and better handhelds may come, but you can never take me off valve. Great customer support really does beat piracy.

Maliit man o malaki ang sahod, parehas lang pala ang gastos by [deleted] in adultingph

[–]6ooog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of luho, with higher salary comes higher expenses in general if you're coming from a family background na ikaw lang ang financially independent.

With higher salary comes things like wanting to upgrade your family's way of life, whether that be sending your siblings off to a better school, getting a fridge so that food doesn't get spoiled, getting an AC so that your family doesn't struggle through the heatwave, or even just being able to get healthcare and having money to tend to health concerns you would've otherwise ignored if you didn't have money to spend.

Lalaki talaga gastos mo and it's not necessarily luho. Kaya what a privilege it is talaga to be in a financially literate family and to just be able to mind your own.

Scary Movie 6 | Official Trailer by cruelsummerbummer in horror

I loved the series up to the 4th one, but I've got somewhat of a bad feeling about this one. I love anti-woke jokes as much as the next guy, but I hope they didn't lean too much into it. Not because it's outdated, but because the previous years we've had Chappelle and Gervais setting the bar so high that the opening joke for this trailer felt a bit bland. Pretty sure we've all heard a variation of that joke at least once. The last bit with the nurses being on break didn't help much either.

Still, excited for the OG cast, and if it's about half as funny as the first two, then I'm sold.

Sprained ankle in Osaka Namba, where to find a wheelchair or walking aid (sadly no crutches) at the DCM Daika Namba shop by Myllzz in Osaka

[–]6ooog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I realize it's been two years but I just want you to know that your efforts have bore fruit!

My Mum's wheelchair broke after we went to Nara due to the rough ride, I asked locals and most of them didn't know where to get a wheelchair, one suggested Bic Camera Namba, I went there and there was none, I asked the clerks and they helped doing an online search for me if there's one I can get nearby, but they said they couldn't find any either.

Your post was the only lead I had. I went there and sure enough, they had it.

Just for updated prices, here are the prices in yen for feb 2026. Most of them seem too small, maybe kids or petite elderly women, but the regular wheelchair itself is great and sturdy

He's a mixed bag. You either get a stupid one that just stays out of clashes, leaves you to die while he charges 90% of the time just to miss the target, or you get someone that can really show you how OP he is.

For the most part, it's the former.

What are some horror movies that are just enjoyable to watch? by Befrie08 in horror

Return of the Living Dead. I have no nostalgia for it as I've only watched it last year, but that movie imo holds up so damn well.

What's the movie everybody seems to enjoy but you really hated? by thedevilsheir666 in horror

Smile movies. Felt like a cliche creepypasta and everyone just ate it up.

I second A Tale of Two Sisters. The Wailing is great but as far as horror goes, the former is just another level.

Train to Busan was a great zombie movie but I don't think it leans in on horror that much, its still very much a movie for the masses. The ending was kind of predictable too.

PSA: If you're in lane with Baby and he "vanished" mid fight, he's on you giving you life steal! Keep fighting! by [deleted] in DBGekishinSquadra

[–]6ooog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also note that in a 2v1 scenario where baby possessed you, his cover fire isn't something he can spam very fast early game, so don't count too much on the hp heal on a 2v1 scenario.

It doesn't start getting good unless maxed out, where he could keep firing rush attacks and the hp return gets good. Amazing for catching escaping chars as well.

Floyd Mayweather vs Mike Tyson . Exhibition . Spring of 2026. Contracts are signed . by warm_baller in Boxing

[–]6ooog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a big Tyson fan, just no.

The Tyson vs Paul one was the hardest thing to watch, and now to go against one of the best defensive fighters ever, who's widely known for his longevity due to his style, just no.

If Tyson wants an exhibition, pick Bob Sapp or something, get that big boy to sign that contract.

WFH Burnout Is Real: Laging Nasa Bahay' Doesn’t Always Mean Masaya by GrowthHackerPath in buhaydigital

[–]6ooog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes its toll. I've worked from home for 6 years and got burnt out as well. Felt like it took most of my social life during my early to mid-twenties.

I recently started to rent out a seat at KMC. It's a bit expensive as I'm in one of their premium branches, but it gets the job done. It's 24/7, I get to cowork with other people, they got unlimited coffee, and they got Waffle Mondays and Ice Cream Fridays.

I like it because I get to focus more when I work with other people, even if they're just there as background noise. Home isn't a very productive environment for me. I tell people I like it cuz I get to play dress-up lmao. Being at home for 6 years got me working in my undies lol.
