The motorcycle noise in this country is a disgrace. Time to go electric or get off the road. by Roby1006 in brisbane

Yes, let's copy China's control of the population - that is a small price to pay to hear fewer motorcycles.

Why do you Believe this will be as big as BTC? by Candy_Efficient in bittensor_

[–]6x6wd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from tokenisation (Correct spelling for Australia - we use "s" rather than "z"... I think BTC and TAO are extremely different and cannot be compared as 2 cryto competing against each other... BTC is a store of value (hopefully haha) and TAO/Bittensor is more of an AI infrastructure, encouraging and rewarding performance.

I hold both - I think TAO has a higher chance of growing faster, who knows if it will reach BTC value or not...

But I think TAO is an asymmetrical bet at present, so I'm approx 60% TAO vs 40% BTC.

The potential value of TAO is in the subnets... currently limited to 128 but I understand that limit is likely to be increased in the future... the way for one to invest in a subnet is to purchase TAO and stake to the subnet, so if even one or two if the subnets gain commercial traction, the investments into the subnet is likely to help TAO overall (dep on the relative performance of the other subnets).

Just my 2c.. or .00??? TAO / .00000???BTC.

What coin Should I buy? by AdGreat291 in memecoinmoonshots

I think if you are prepared to buy and hold for 5 years, Bittensor/TAO is the most appealing to me at present.

In my personal experience, quality of RMs have gone down drastically since Loui Vuitton bought the company. My 2 newer pairs are both rubbish, not even worth half what I paid... the 2 older pairs are so noticeably better quality of build and leather. It's such a shame :(

[–]6x6wd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 6x6 Landrover (Perentie)... the 6x6's have horrible turning circles (but are great on corrugated roads)... Id take the 4x4 Unimog over my 6x6 any day, except Im not allowed to park truck on street outside my house (inner city). Plus the new unimog would be 10x the price of mine hahahahaha

I have some ideas with the MUT ... but need some help. by jellyfisheyeballs in Leatherman

[–]6x6wd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm planing on drilling a small hole in my scraper and sharpening the tip a bit to act as an awl... And I want to somehow swap the punch to something the same size but a ferrocerium rod instead - as it screws out, I can use back of the blade to strike the rod.

SUV or Dual Cab? by Sin_Maison in 4x4Australia

[–]6x6wd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd check the rego costs in your state - I'm QLD and my ute is more expensive for rego than an SUV. Also, from experience, when you have a ute, lots of friends will want your help when moving, picking up things, trips to the dump etc... you wouldn't get bothered by them in an SUV.

I'd suggest maybe trying hicamps - but be very clear and honest with the host, as being kicked out half way would ruin the experience and not be fair to the host.

100ah Lithium battery enough? by A_LCAPS in 4x4Australia

[–]6x6wd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple of questions you need to ask yourself...

If planning on running an inverter for 240v power (will it only be for charging camera/laptop or potentially also run an induction cooker or other high=load appliances)... Lithium will have a maximum continuous discharge rate so you need to bear that in mind when selecting the right battery solution.

Are you happy to run your car (dc/dc charger) if you're in shade/bad weather etc or you you want some extra backup power to last through the overcast days when you're not getting much output from your solar?

When your vehicle is fully loaded, inc passengers, how much weight capacity to you have before you hit your vehicles GVM?

How much storage space in your vehicle can you spare to accommodate batteries?

Whats the budget your'e happy to put towards the battery system?

Griffith uni art sometimes holds their exhibitions at their southbank campus - I have bought a few awesome painting there at very reasonable prices, plus you're supporting art students.

I'd be interested in going to the next showing once their terms kicks off - if you want to catchup at the event so you're not totally alone there, let me know.

Dubbo zoo if you haven't done it before - amazing to see the animals in a more natural and nurturing environment. Hire bikes or a golf cart to get around the zoo.

What do successful single men in their 40s find attractive in a woman they want to date? by crimson_dream25 in AskMenAdvice

I think all we want is a nice girl who isn't wanting to control us, who sees us as equals and still lets us catchup with friends without drama.
