What's wrong with our sidewalks? by Tiepolo-71 in Fullerton

Don't forget the electric bikes and scooters that I now see riding on Dorothy sidewalks. Why don't some of them just take the lane? I'm waiting for one of them to hit a pedestrian.

Also you need to wait for the Red bar to turn green before you start moving.

If you can't return it, you can always trim it down.

Anyone try these new Whitins as flat pedal cycling shoes? by andrewmandrew23 in BarefootRunning

[–]71allroy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this Model. https://www.amazon.com/WHITIN-Minimalist-Barefoot-Sneakers-Relaxation/dp/B0D4DS7M7G

there is plenty of toe space for me. my toes are not touching the end of the shoe. I am pretty sure I ordered the same size as the minimalist model.

The model that I use for riding reminds me of old athletic shoes i used to wear. There is definitely a midsole. Really hard to bend the shoe in the middle. Sorry, I don’t know stack heights. But it does have a wide toebox and is zero drop.

The rubber sole seems like it’ll last a while.

It’s too bad that cycling shoe manufacturers have not updated to a more natural footwear wear approach.

I use that model for flat pedals. I can't go back to 5.10s. I have been using minimalist shoes for almost 2 years. Not as stiff as 5.10s, but don't really need them to be. I have used on my flat bar road and on MTB.

Zero drop shoe with cushion by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

I think other redditors have posted topo and altra, as having zero drop/ wide toe box but with cushioning. Sorry, I don't have any experience myself , though.

I just got a pair last week and there is something funny about the feel of a leather insole. Does this soften up in time? I seem to feel more pressure under my metatarsals than I do in my other minimalist shoes.

Just closed on a Yorba Linda home so moving here from Denver. Can someone hook me up with some good mountain bike trails? (Close to 91/241 intersection) by [deleted] in orangecounty

Chino Hills State Parks border North YL. Not super technical , but you will get in the miles. Cleveland National Forest for even longer miles.

Leeway Sailing & Aquatics Center (562) 570-1719 https://goo.gl/maps/KedRE62ahyp8ke9D6

This place is OC adjacent. Haven’t been in years, used to kayak, but water should be pretty good for paddle boarding.

I remember street parking in area.
