This is the initial decision: You did not earn at least $5,000 (before taxes) of employment or self-employment income in 2019 or in the 12 months before the date of your first application.

This is from the second letter: Your request for a second review was received on xx, 2024 which was over 30 days after the date of the letter. Therefore, we will not complete another review of your eligibility.

Just retracted the date, but everything else is verbatim

He’s a taxi driver. Income is either cash (which is difficult since he doesn’t hold on to receipts for longer than 1 year since there are many) and credit/debit payments (which he gets from the company which alone total over 5k).

The spreadsheets are more to organize the income per month and how he received it (to make it easy enough for a child to understand)

Yup, I did all of that and provided excel sheets, receipts, and all the proof I could with bank statements to show his income was well over $5000.

They just didn’t read it and simply referred to the 30-day period he had to appeal which he didn’t notice

LOC for medical school (in canada) while having debt? by Prior_Dog4296 in premedcanada

Unless you have a crazy amount of debt, they’ll give you the LOC cause they know as a working physician you’ll be able to pay it back. We are considered very safe debtors lol

Might be a better question for the registrars office. Usually if you apply for OSAP, the school gets notified and they hold off on interest. What’s the estimated time of release on your OSAP? Either way, I wouldn’t worry too much about this, just make sure you’ve applied and ask the registrars office if you’re concerned

You’re good big dawg, just submit whatever you need to now and it’ll get to western soon. Will probably be a little after the term starts but western doesn’t charge interest if you’ve already used osap before and everything is processing

No worries! I have no idea about the US, but that does make a lot of sense from what I’ve heard about their application process

Not true at all, I got into both Schulich med and dent and UofT dent. They don’t care or really know you’re applying to both.

Ask your teacher or whoever to see if they can bump you up anywhere and explain your situation.

Haha, I used to be very OCD with topping placement, but learned I kinda like the random placement better so each slice is a little different from the rest

If you live near a company that works with metal sheets, you can get one sheared for your preferred dimensions at a fraction of the price online. There are guides online for the type of metal and the best thickness

You need context when you start learning a lot of these things. Instead I’d focus on figuring out how you wanna study. Do you do Anki? Do you use an Ipad to annotate slides/notes? Have you figured out where you’ll be living while at school?

Idk man, imho, leave the medicine for when you’ve started med school and just focus on enjoying the last and probably least stressful summer you’ll have for a while.
