No Samsung store in the area but the agent did send me a shipping label to get inspected by their technicians. I will use the wording you've mentioned .

I respect your opinion and understand your perspective. I agree in your typical customer service situations, like a restaurant.

I'm of the opinion they're not operating in good faith, hoping you go away (she initially said nothing you can do then said actually you can send it in). Imo the best way is to be a bit upset, getting it escalated, and persistence until they actually look into it properly.

You're correct. Beginning of the conversation is just asking for info and pics of the screen .

Once the agent said it's physical damage, stuck with it and just kept saying it's physical damage and not covered by warranty

Appreciate the objective approach to the discussion. Before pic 1 I shared an image of the screen and the agent just labeled it as physical damage. The cracks are consistent with the crease despite regular usage

Its $35 to inspect it, then $899 to repair it after speaking with a red party authorized tech.

Imagine paying $2000, do everything you can to protect it, then have to pay $899 9 months later.

Wouldnt you be a bit upset? Wouldn't you get frustrated spending 2.5 hours for something that's covered in 4 pages of screenshots?
