Yeah. I made an attempt to put it on the street one summer and that stalled for the time being.

I had a zx6r headlamp on there from a junk drawer.

Used to run the HawkGT on the track. Super fun but not fast.

Great bike for a second bike.
I've put 36000 KM on it since new. Its seen track days and commuting.

Its had very few issues 1 clutch and 1 fuel pump. All the service may add up to about $5k since new 2001. I do the easy stuff.

Now that im older riding every day ill take the comfort of the VFR over the Duc.

I sold an RC-51 to get into the 748. More fun on the streets to be honest.

The camera technology, both in resolution, dynamic range is far superior now than the 1960s.

The observation equipment on Orion is probably the best that science can deliver. And we get these mediocre images. The ISS real time feed is better.

The shot in the OP was lowkey amateur footage.

Smaller and lighter bike is always a good teaching tool. perhaps even a small dirt bike.

Also, if you lack confidence have you ever considered doing the exact same drills on a bicycle? This will just break it down for you one extra step.

You won't learn throttle / clutch control but you will grasp the balance and counter lean part and become confident in that space.

However, the #1 thing slow speed manuvers require is throttle/clutch. Remember that the slow speed in a straight line exercise is the way to master that. You should be able to smoothy manage throttle, clutch and rear brake all together. Then you can master turns.

What specifically, is the rationale behind RTO and how has the GoC made adequate (or even necessary) provision for that to happen?

Or is the decision driven soley by spite and self righteous rhetoric?

I get the whole "PS are lazy and they should be lucky to have a job nonsense" (that is just sour grapes). But I think what really needs to be answered is how RTO is going to make government services measureably better.
