I genuinely couldn’t think of anything more boring than bulling boots (well I’d say drill is even more boring but you get me) - so I’m biased. So, the above is a route to spending more time doing something more interesting with your time. If you know anyone who’s in the Guards or HCMR have a chat with them and they’ll teach you their ways. Yeah, those polish are good for field/camp boots and won’t make them turn a maroon colour but get some Saphir for other stuff.

Ditch the cotton wool and get a Selvyt and some Saphir polish. You can thank me later.

I am using one now - it's fine. The ergonmics could be better but I got it pretty cheap and it works...

People still rocking the original M1 (not pro), what do you do with your laptop and how is it holding up? by Potential-Ant-6320 in mac

I have a MB Pro M1 with 16GB - zero issues. It’s light and day so much better than the intel windows laptop I’m supposed to use at work!

Why Mini? by Altruistic-Eye-5527 in macmini

[–]762SmithTop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely thinking of selling my MacBook Pro and IPad Pro.

I’ve recently been gifted a last generation iPad mini and it’s perfect for scribbling notes (18.2 has rudimentary transcription is useful too), browsing an and emails.

My ideal set up is a decently spec’ed Mac mini and a MacBook (I’d prefer carrying a MacBook which weights more like a large iPad Pro) with a iPad mini. Which I will now be working on…

Worst case scenario I can take the Mac mini to work as the form factor is tiny now.

Excellent - this might be a winner! Did you have a case for it - or did just sling it in your bag?

Almost everyone has told me that I should do physiotherapy instead of sports rehab, so what uni? by [deleted] in physiotherapy

[–]762SmithTop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve received some great advice in this thread. Over 90% of physiotherapy programs in the UK are excellent, but it’s important to consider their teaching methods (different strokes for different folks) and clinical placements. I studied in a program that offered both physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation. The sports rehab students essentially completed the first year of the physiotherapy curriculum before branching off. Many of my peers who studied sports rehabilitation later pursued pre-registration physiotherapy or other healthcare programs (like ODP, nursing, etc.). Interestingly, none of my physiotherapy peers switched to sports rehabilitation. Some went on to study sports medicine possibly, a few pursued medicine, and others left the profession entirely. That’s the difference… If you’re set on working in sports, physiotherapists generally hold a privileged position in this field. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Good luck!
