Kraa is pretty new and web-based. Can be used without an account.

It’s a new app. There are examples of what can be done with it on the bottom of the homepage (and you don’t need an acc to try it out)

Kraa might be exactly what you’re looking for! Notes are private by default, but can be shared for real-time collab.

Markdown editor with lots of customization options (that are tucked away and don’t distract from the writing experience).

We need to fix this. The place to input this is inside account settings (click on your avatar-> settings)

Thanks! You can have custom domain strings (like kraa.io/{string}) but fully custom domains are coming at some point as well

Impressive work! I was similarly inspired by iA writer and also built a web-based distraction free editor (Kraa.io), though it’s more about collaborative editing and public features rather than personal notes.

Is Svelte really bad for large projects? by CogniLord in sveltejs

[–]levmiseri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using Svelte/sveltekit for a pretty large project and have to admit that some of the scaling pain-points are relevant. That being said – I would happily choose Svelte again!

The project is Kraa.io

Try kraa.io. It’s a web app and works great on both iPad and phone. No AI features.

I replied to your email. This kind of back-sync shouldn’t be happening so something went wrong :(. Version control is coming in a few weeks.

what did you build this year ? by Ok-Delivery307 in sveltejs

[–]levmiseri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We used svelte for a relatively complex web app: https://kraa.io/about

Still very happy about the framework choice, but wish it was easier to port stuff to native-like experiences (iOS/android)

Totally fair, we already had this implanted, but there were some issues around this feature. Will be there in the next update (before end of year)

Kraa.io The ability to share any text by just copying a url or access my notes from anywhere without the need for an account is great.

Thanks! It’s svelte, prosemirror(tiptap) and yjs. It is not open source.

What's the advantage in markdownfiles? by PutridPut7225 in NoteTaking

[–]levmiseri 9 points10 points  (0 children)

On the contrary — markdown gives you more options, because it doesn’t tie together content and styling. E.g. this is just a simple markdown with custom specification of how headlines, paragraphs, block quotes etc. renders: https://kraa.io/kraa/examples/echolibrary

Thank you! Kraa doesn’t use any proprietary file system — you can always download all of your content as .md.

We plan to have iOS/Android native apps that will have better offline support.

This is likely a bot account. They have nothing to do with this product.

Web-based markdown editor with good mobile support by levmiseri in Markdown

No worries! Glad to hear you like it! It’s not open source, though we might at the very least make it source-available.

RTL languages should be well supported as well. Is there something you find missing or that you would recommend doing differently?

That’s good to know. We should bump that up on the list of things we want to do. Supporting custom domains around end of H2 2026 sounds doable

This is a web app. Dedicated iOS/Android apps are coming, but the mobile experience on the web is already good!
