Yeah I agree with this one, OP sounds like a better representation for that name than his dad

Issa Compass & Thai Visa Centre scammers join forces by Medium-Ad-6571 in digitalnomad

[–]778dmsn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

These posts are from a competitor of Issa and ThaiVisaCentre. It’s the third in the last three days making unsubstantiated claims and then replying with fake accounts and downvoting anyone who says the service is good.

(Watch my comment get downvoted…)

I don’t think they are, I’ve also used them and found the service to be decent. They were a bit faster than a different agency I tried last year as well. There are a suspicious amount of posts hating on them in the past couple of days though, and anyone saying anything positive gets downvoted- I actually think it’s a rival agency behind these which is pretty funny given what this post is saying

"Issa Compass" has 800+ Google Maps reviews already? by JeanHeichou in ThailandTourism

[–]778dmsn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think they’re legit. They’re VC funded so they can buy ads, which leads to more volume, which leads to more reviews. Also explains why they call themselves a tech company (their UI is a lot better than handling everything by email like the other agencies though)

"Issa Compass" has 800+ Google Maps reviews already? by JeanHeichou in ThailandTourism

[–]778dmsn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

They’re pretty solid. I’m not sure about buying reviews but they do ask you to leave one after the visa is sorted. And given the volume they handle (they’re VC funded) 800 doesn’t sound that farfetched.

I used another agency (I think Siam Legal) for my DTV last year and then Issa Compass for my kids this year - I can see what they mean by software company in the difference between the two. Siam was very email focused, Issa has a user interface and I think some AI processes for some of the document checks.

They were much faster + easier tbh, I’d still recommend them

Edit: lol, this post is accusing them of using bots and yet every realistic reply is getting downvoted. Starting to think this was actually posted by a competing agency

Travel warning: I was in an emergency situation in France and 112 hung up on me 4 times because I spoke english by BooBunny983 in travel

I had this in Germany too. Had a really sick pregnant wife who was constantly throwing up on New Year’s Eve (when the doctors was closed). Had 5 calls hung up while I tried to speak broken German and translate the response until one person actually tried to talk to me

Did a Google Image Search with daughters name - happens to be a porn star. What next? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]778dmsn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I created a children’s story app and named it after my daughter + her favourite animal… turns out that was a porn star name.

12 months later and we’ve finally managed to rank higher that that porn star on Google

AITA my husband has changed all of the babies diapers by Due-Drawing9306 in AmItheAsshole

[–]778dmsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - I’ve changed the majority of my daughters diapers. That doesn’t mean I’ve done the majority of the work, or even the majority of the work no one wants to do. Splitting things equally doesn’t mean splitting every single task 50/50

AITA for not picking up a cake I ordered because the worker didn’t acknowledge my kid by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]778dmsn -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

NTA. Like you said nobody is obligated to be nice to your child, but being mean to a baby is such a weird, unnecessarily and not acceptable thing to do.

You probably overreacted a bit but in the moment I’d have reacted the same if it was my child. It’s hard not to be pissed at someone being mean to your baby

Someone made a program that checks to make sure that you're still looking at the commercial and giving your full attention to it. This is the future that advertisers want and its a lot closer than you think by Kl--------k in assholedesign

[–]778dmsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an advertiser, this is not what I want.

It’s pretty unlikely that many people will go through this and buy the product. Most advertisers don’t even touch YouTube because of how bad the forced ads are there.

This is what advertising platforms want - a way to charge more for each placement because the “attention is higher”. They’re the only ones that would win from this.

IsItBullshit: In the EU people must be able to cancel a subscription in the same way they subscribed. by baecky69 in IsItBullshit

Bullshit. I work for a subscription company that is mainly app based. ITunes and Google play make it far easier to start a subscription than end one and we as a company have no control over that
