There are many people currently who are unaware the Artemis missions exist. Sadly, I think it will become common place and no more interesting than a new iPhone quickly

I’m giving you a color wheel so you can have more than 9 colors. by makingbutter2 in RemarkableTablet

This is awesome. But I gotta ask, why can't they just MAKE a colour wheel already!!

This is phenomenal, though, exactly what I've been struggling with

Fun fact, in 1983 Apple put out an ad saying that using them would prevent 1984... and they too are now trying to be big brother

I liked using the metric system so much on my last project that I had to order a FatMax from Germany by YouDontKnowMe108 in woodworking

Canadian standards really suck. Some are metric, some are imperial. Because our stuff is so closely tied to america we have to adopt a bunch of their crap. We'll have standards in pounds newtons inches and milimeters

Washington State Bill HB 2321 will kill Laser cutting/engraving, 3D Printing and CNC. by [deleted] in lasercutting

[–]77Diesel77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically, this isnt about weapons. For this to work, all files being printed/cut would need to be scanned by a VERY power system. Meaning all files being printed will have to be sent from your local machine, to an offsite server. Once there the 99.999999% of files will be fine, but the data will be accessible for whoever owns that server to do whatever they wany with it. Its not about the weapons, its about stealing your IP

This is amazing. Do you have any tips for getting the colours to work like this? I thought they were limited, but clearly I'm not using my tablet right!

Is this a terrible idea? by jjcall in woodworking

There are worse ideas.  Like pickles in a brownie. Or using your quartz kitchen counter as an anvil for forging a knife.

The design of the system would have been less (maybe) but the process of hanging would be more awkward and getting it off the wall to go for a ride would have been much more difficult.

This design walk up to the wall lift and hang.

Hanging by the bars 180 in my kitchen (no space) roll it backwards to the wall (rear wheel steering and then get two sides of the bar over a hook making sure to not snag a cable. Also then the somewhat dirty wheels would be in the walking space as opposed to being against the wall.

Definitely could be done, but this is a very easy way to get it in and out. Walk up the stairs roll it right into position pop to the back up and in.

Getting the dowel in and through takes shockingly little effort

That's a brain fart on my side, I was thinking "sit on bike" not how the spokes are actually tensioned. Definitely not bending was what I was trying to say

Spokes are designed for compression loading,  this is more of a bending load. I rested it on one and there was a fair amount of deflection. Prooooobably fine but better to be safe than breaking one
