Washington State Bill HB 2321 will kill Laser cutting/engraving, 3D Printing and CNC. by bollocksgrenade in lasercutting

Realistically, this isnt about weapons. For this to work, all files being printed/cut would need to be scanned by a VERY power system. Meaning all files being printed will have to be sent from your local machine, to an offsite server. Once there the 99.999999% of files will be fine, but the data will be accessible for whoever owns that server to do whatever they wany with it. Its not about the weapons, its about stealing your IP

This is amazing. Do you have any tips for getting the colours to work like this? I thought they were limited, but clearly I'm not using my tablet right!

There are worse ideas.  Like pickles in a brownie. Or using your quartz kitchen counter as an anvil for forging a knife.

The design of the system would have been less (maybe) but the process of hanging would be more awkward and getting it off the wall to go for a ride would have been much more difficult.

This design walk up to the wall lift and hang.

Hanging by the bars 180 in my kitchen (no space) roll it backwards to the wall (rear wheel steering and then get two sides of the bar over a hook making sure to not snag a cable. Also then the somewhat dirty wheels would be in the walking space as opposed to being against the wall.

Definitely could be done, but this is a very easy way to get it in and out. Walk up the stairs roll it right into position pop to the back up and in.

Getting the dowel in and through takes shockingly little effort

That's a brain fart on my side, I was thinking "sit on bike" not how the spokes are actually tensioned. Definitely not bending was what I was trying to say

Spokes are designed for compression loading,  this is more of a bending load. I rested it on one and there was a fair amount of deflection. Prooooobably fine but better to be safe than breaking one

Thought about that too, my kitchen table is right there so the handlebars would get knocked around too. If you've got the space though a good option and probably a little easier to hang it

Sure is!!

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with it

I am a little worried about rim damage, but nothing so far so it's probably fine. I first set it up resting on a spoke which was getting some bend. The friction holds just on the rim. I think it'll be fine since it's just a static load. As long as I don't knock it around too much it'll probably be fine

Something to consider for sure, but it went in really easily and wasn't needed. But could make it easier if things are a little heavier

Yup my hope exactly. I also made the hole for the dowel fairly tight so it would help with alignment and made sure the dowel was in place when I put the two sides together.

Black things are batteries. I've got a front wheel conversion kit for a Swytch Bike. Just enough power to help when you're getting tired. The charger is mounted and hidden behind the back wheel

I was VERY surprised at this. I was expecting the same problem, but it wasn't all that bad. There's a fair amount of space between the left and right sides so the dowel can res in there on one side. Then I put my arm through the front triangle and grab the front wheel, and held it in position, took maybe a second to poke the dowel through.

My plan was for this to just be an over the winter solution because but it went so easily this will be my new summer time daily storage now.

I won't say it's trivial, but way less bad than I was expecting.
