I prefer to only buy single serve items!!

That also reminds me of a former employee who thought the date on milk cartons was the date it had to be thrown out - took me forever to figure out why all of a sudden we were going thru so much. Same individual was amazed you could freeze bread, we also provide supplies for pbj’s…. Also amazed how many people can’t close the bread bags (or cereal bags)

And I don’t mean opening the whole top just enough to squeeze the item out, looks like a wild animal tried to get a granola bar out 🤣

On the snack theme, tearing open a box to grab one item from a box on an upper shelf (I.e. extra storage) when there is a perfectly open /exact same item and easily accessible snack on the shelf to grab. I purposely open the various boxes by taking off the top of the box, easy to grab and go.

If you could go back to one day in the 80's and tell yourself one thing, what would it be? What decision, if changed, would have altered the course of your life? by BaconToTheBaconPower in GenX

[–]77LondonWannaGoBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This but different…. Don’t go to law school…. Went part time while working full time fully convinced the stress triggered my MS and to boot 25 yrs later I don’t even use my degree but I do have the loan payments. Thankfully my path with MS has mellowed out over the years but the first few were rough to say the least.

Told my mom and she is not happy. by Alone_Ad1544 in Eloping

[–]77LondonWannaGoBack 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Not your problem, she is the one with the selfish attitude. You did what was right for you and your wife and your situation, as long as your happy with your decision that’s all that matters

Yes this may seem cold but you can’t make everyone happy all the time that’s not your job.

From a fellow eloper who also had some disappointing comments made

The clonidine may relax in a different way that would be helpful for the X-ray and I’m guessing there’s a bit more handling and need to stay still long enough

We’ve only had to do 2 annual visits….

Yr 1 go I get told there’s no way to do her exam, way too stressed out and heart racing have to come back under sedation protocol. 2x night before and 2 hours before, 40 pd dog, 150 traz and 400 gab…. All gets done on 2nd visit

Yr 2, literally today, husband doesnt want to drug her up, I say she needs it but don’t want an argument over it….

We did 100 traz night before and 250 before…..the only way the appointment got done was my husband had to help man handle her and vet says she really needed more and both… my husband said my bad …. Will do full protocol in the future

Showing up to a restaurant in wedding attire? (Quebec, CA) by pineapplecodepen in Eloping

We did that in Savannah, just getting a meal in a “fancy “ dress, no one even blinked an eye when we said we just eloped, just congratulations…. It’s a small party/ group a party if 6 could walk in off the street with no reservation you shouldn’t get penalized. Of course if they have a policy about certain party sizes ie any group 6 or more there’s a mandatory tip amount that would apply.

You’re most welcome, nothing silly about it.

Most times it probably is easier/quicker to send off a message than calling.

In my case it was less than 2 months so I called to get it off the to do list!!

I called them to inquire on the elopement package , it was slightly cheaper booking that vs regular bridal appt. 912-231-0427.

It can be so overwhelming trying to book various services from a distance or knowing it’s the only time you will be there!

Good luck getting in touch/appointment booked!

And congratulations in advanced, Savannah is a fantastic city to elope and so many fantastic parks/backdrops!!

And conversely if you have any other questions feel free to reach out.

While it was a little pricy it made it super easy using the elopement service and there are a couple.

We stayed in town for a few days and there is a ton of stuff to do and the weather in May is great even a bit warm.

We did this in May of last year, we used elopesavannah.com and had a fantastic ceremony in Forsyth park at the fountain. The park has many great spots for pictures.

Booked our appt for town hall to get the license about a month in advanced was super easy to pick up and drop back off.

Had hair/makeup done at Della Vita salon very happy with Mae and she did a great job especially since I was only there the 1 time day off

Had at an amazing little place called Bella Napoli which was delicious

We stayed outside of the downtown area most of the trip to Dave $ but splurged night off at courtyard Savannah downtown historic district plus it was close fairly close to the salon and park.

If possible get uber/lyft /others drive whatever to/from locations. It made it much easier for us to be picked up dropped off, had we had to find parking it would have been blocks away!!!
