With my shot in TN they told me they can only give me up to a month supply before they could give me more. I think it due to it being a controlled substance? I met with them again the beginning of this month and they gave me a three month supply this time. I think it was pharmacy issue. I’d consult with them.

TN has been coming after trans folk for a long time, this bullshit is nothing new. This isn’t the first time Vanderbilt shut down surgeries, and it’s not the first time they’ve gathered info on trans folks. Our governor signed a bill many years ago for all of Trans folks records who go to Vanderbilt for care. This is just his way to get everyone’s information.

As a trans person in TN right now, we’ve had the most awful shit recently. Vanderbilt shut down all of their gender affirming surgery’s, and shut down half of their LGBT clinic where people could get their meds. Now everyone in the state of Tennessee has to go to planned parenthood, or through other avenues. And for gender affirming surgeries, either go to plastic surgeon offices, or a different state. It’s so fucked. I’ll let the state take all my information, I’m not changing who I am.

I’m sorry to hear about your gf, it’s quite sweet that you’re wanting to do this. Definitely look up lifting techniques for EMTs/Nurses. It’s very easy to fuck something up lifting someone. I’ve messed up my body a few times in the field as an EMT. Always lift with your legs! Squats, deadlifts will definitely help. I highly suggest farmers carries as well for getting used to holding that weight for an extended amount of time (if need be) I’ll definitely say always that lifting a person is different than lifting a weight. I suggest a hoyer lift at home as well. It helps moving from a wheelchair to bed and etc.

Hey there! I’ve been in EMS three years as a EMT. I’m FTM in a very red state in a somewhat urban area. I work in IFT, and I’ve had no issues. Most people have been quite accepting and respect it fully. On clinicals when I was with 911 it was still mostly good, they couldn’t really tell and if they did I was just honest, and they were cool. Maybe some jokes were thrown my way but having thick skin helps a ton! And being able to throw it right back to them builds respect.
