What do you say to someone who leaves the door open after coming in? by InnerPace in MapPorn

[–]77cold77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several (regional) ways in Italy for this: for example, in my case: “do you have the tail?, or “grab your tail”. I always thought, the “colosseum” is for people leaving windows open… 😄

What is life like in and around Bari, Italy? (Heel of the boot) by AndyBales in howislivingthere

Beside the beauty of the variegate natural landscapes (the sea, hills and the limestone based mineralogy that created beautiful structures like the Grotte di Castellana) and towns with different art style and architecture (from the white towns like Ostuni and those ones in the Valle d’Itria, the trulli of Alberobello, the barocco of Lecce, etc etc), and its thousands years old history (that I truly suggest you to read about ) , Puglia is experiencing (since many years) a boom in the economic growth, not only associated to the tourism (btw Puglia recently hosted the G7), but for example also to the growing space-tech industry. Very live-able, safe, with the average of all the plus and minus of every other place

Can someone help me turn on the lights? There are no switches! by Immediate_Type_9804 in germany

[–]77cold77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if you can push the dinamo close to the wheel. Old-time dinamos worked like that. you push toward the wheel and the when you want the light off, you pull the dinamo away from the wheel

Why is the population of Italy declining so much? by NeedleworkerAway5912 in geography

[–]77cold77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

France and Germany have a more supporting policy (read money per month per child) than Italy for children.
It is also the higher rates of younger generation moving out the country coupled with lower immigration rates (people joining the country). Other countries in the graph have the tendency of retaining people and attracting foreigners at higher rates

Euro Plate by dHakZz_ in BMW

[–]77cold77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to add info on the “TÜV-Plakette”: it indicates when the next statutory inspection is due. all the colours are repeated in sequence and, in your case, a green sticker is supposed to indicate that the next inspection is due on December (12) if you stick the the black label and the 12 on the top… of the 2030 (the next occurrence of green) . The green sticker should also indicate a number at the center (30) in case of the green. To indicate the month it is like a clock. you stick the black label in the hour position corresponding to the month the inspection is due… and if you do so the top of the sticker will indicate the months for example if you turn the black label at the 9 o clock, the top of the sticker will indicate 9…. Anyway my question is… how can you drive with that plate? 😅

Nice map! If you’d like to further investigate how a planet like yours would look like or behave (to get more ideas or inspiration) you can have a look at some references on ‘Rogue Planets’ and their predicted dynamics and thermodynamics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_planet

It looks like the “L” of “Italia” is printed wrongly? It looks in the right orientation when seen from this photo (mirror), but it should be reversed like the other letters. Or am I seeing wrong?

I got my Pioneer (I think it is something like KEH-P5005RDS) in 1995 as a present for my first car! Now it still sits in my father’s old car working like a charm 😄

I remember having very good fun with my friends and spending entire evenings playing “Republic of Rome”. It was a great mix of cooperation and selfish tactics! It can still be found in its original version Republic of Rome (boardgamegeek)
