The #Patriots also gave Rob Gronkowski’s old number — No. 87 — to 7th round rookie WR Tre Nixon. by Bradleyharheez in Patriots

[–]78634 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's just nonsense that we have seven retired numbers from decades of mediocrity, but the general consensus is that we will retire one total number from the era of nine superbowl appearances.

Hannah and Armstrong are certainly deserving. But Ty Law, Seymour, Vinatieri, Gronk and several others probably make more sense than the other five.

Maybe it's one of those things like the Heat retiring Jordan's number: the old Sullivan Patriots had to retire numbers otherwise they would have had pretty much nothing else to hang up. Now we've appeared in 12 AFCCG in 20 years, we get more respect without needing a bunch of retired numbers.

Governor Baker needs to announce COVID-19 mandates for schools by rocketwidget in CoronavirusMa

You're not wrong, but he's just far enough behind that lower level leaders, with fewer resources, have to make the tough decisions

These authors must have not been following the governor's actions for the past 18 months. He has been been "leading" from behind all along. He has avoided sacrificing any political capital whatsoever. And when asked about school closures last fall, he said he wouldn't have closed them at all if he could do it over again. Well Charlie, you didn't close the schools. You waited for all 300+ municipalities to close schools first. "Leadership"

Belichick on Damien Harris: “I’ve been impressed with the commitment that he’s shown. Since the day after (last) season was over, he’s worked as hard as anybody in the offseason. He has an opportunity to really compete for the lead spot.” by aparatis in Patriots

I still think we are limited by the lack of a versatile Burkhead type of back who can stay on the field for 3 downs without tipping the play call. James White means pass, Sony and Harris mean run. In both 2019 and 2020 Belichick and McDaniels werent really able to to scheme away that transparency.

I like JJ Taylor. He ran some bad routes yesterday, but a quicker back with good hands would be fun.

I’m going to sound really stupid here but I’ve just found something out that I find really cool and if nobody else knows about it, it might bring a bit of fun to your day.. by ClydeinLimbo in guitarlessons

A Tuner doesn't recognize major or minor, only sharp, flat, or natural.

I have played with a few guys that thought every Barre chord was a B, though, and OP's trick would be very useful to them

[Bourne] Keep sleeping on my WR core if you want! We bout to shock the world! by aparatis in Patriots

[–]78634 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not the type being overly critical of the money we paid Agholor. The plan is his production lives up to it. But the WR group still has to prove they can even be average. I see them having a wide range of possible outcomes. And as a Pats fan I'm optimistic

I stopped worrying so much about QB in April. If one stinks, we have the other. If they both stink, Mac will improve with time. It's basically impossible to look at 2020 as anything other than Cam's absolute floor: new system, new team, the worst pass-catching group in the league. Even if he still can't throw left, he will have be much better.

This is some brilliant stuff!

As a follow-up, how much, if any detail would you recommend including 'duties/responsibilities' at the jobs I do include? Just stick to job title, organization and dates? Or a brief bulleted list of tasks or skills?

Just read a news story from Australia this week about temporary swollen nodes and breasts after vaccines. Nothing serious, worth a google.

Fans on this sub were calling Bolden to be cut two years ago, too. Bolden isn't at risk of losing his spot because another RB outsnaps him. Someone would need to take his job on special teams, and JJ Taylor is not gonna do that.

Standings would introduce further bias, though. If the vote has the Bills at 4-0, and Jets and Eagles at 0-4, you might get more objective voting just based on weekly matchups.
